Chapter 65 Impel Down Jailbreak Incident (7)

LV2, Wild Beast Hell

The jailers in this area were already aware of the chaos unfolding below and were on high alert.

In less than ten minutes, the escaped prisoners from LV3 Starvation Hell had surged through to LV2.

Looking around, the spiral staircase was crowded with prisoners armed with various weapons, rushing towards them.

"Wow, ah, ah, ah..."

"Hurry up and shoot..."

"Stop them..."

Unfortunately, their efforts were futile.

As more and more prisoners gathered, it became impossible for the Impel Down guards to halt the escape.

Suddenly, with a few roars, massive beasts resembling mountains descended from the sky and positioned themselves in front of the group of prisoners. These included the Sphinx, the giant rooster-like Basilisk, and the human-like Matikora.

They regarded the prisoners with disdain.

The beasts casually waved their claws and flapped their wings.

The prisoners at the front were instantly defeated.

Meanwhile, countless enormous monsters with light blue upper halves, dark blue lower halves, and skulls on their heads joined the fray from behind.

"Be careful, it's those beasts from Wild Beast Hell!"

"Damn it, it's a blue gorilla..."

"Ah, ah, ah, ah!"

Faced with these monsters of overwhelming strength, the prisoners could only be ruthlessly attacked.

At the rear of the prisoners, Bullet, who was perched on San Juan Wolf's shoulders, looked at the weaker prisoners with contempt. He had no intention of intervening and couldn't understand why anyone would bother saving these pitiful losers. They were not fit to survive at sea.

On the other hand, Redfield had found a Marine bounty notice and was examining it.

The notice listed Gnar's bounty as 45 million Baileys and noted that he was a Zoan-type user with bat abilities.

Redfield's eyes narrowed sharply.

At that moment, several figures appeared and joined the battle.

Athos, Raynor, Ledo, Gricho, and Orm charged forward and confronted the three ferocious beasts and the blue gorillas.

The prisoners who managed to escape the monsters looked at them with gratitude.

"Thank you... so much..."

Renault and Ledo, the two brothers who admired Gnar the most among the five, spoke separately.

"If you want to show gratitude, thank Lord Gnar!"

"Don't waste time. We'll handle them. You keep moving upward!"

"Okay!"

Amid the cheers from the prisoners, they continued their rush to the upper levels.

Freedom was just around the corner.

Behind them, Bullet noticed the reward notice in Redfield's hand and asked with curiosity.

"Hey, old man, what are you looking at?"

Redfield casually tossed the reward notice to Bullet. Bullet read it and then burst out laughing.

"He's just a nobody."

Redfield spoke slowly, agreeing.

"This kid has many secrets!"

"What's wrong?!"

Bullet was uninterested. To him, only pure personal power mattered.

"Oh, aren't you curious about the kid's plan? His methods are so ruthless that even an old man like me is a bit scared!"

Bullet remained indifferent.

"Why? Are you sympathizing with these losers? I didn't expect you to have such a soft side."

Redfield wasn't angered by the remark. Instead, he said calmly.

"No, I'm just intrigued by that kid's secrets..."

As he spoke, Redfield paused. Under the guidance of the clumsy San Juan Wolf, they were left with only the last level above their heads: LV1 Crimson Hell.

Impel Down, Sea Level

At the gate of Impel Down, which symbolized freedom, Hannyabal, the Deputy Warden, stood guard with a large naginata. Behind him were over a thousand armed guards, all prepared to repel the incoming prisoners.

"I swear as Deputy Warden that I will never let a prisoner pass through here!"

Hannyabal's words immediately inspired the guards, who looked at their Deputy Warden with admiration.

However, what no one saw was the anxious look on Hannyabal's face after his declaration.

"What on earth are the Director and Warden doing?"

"When will Marine support arrive..."

"Before I become the Director, I don't want to die here..."

...

Hannyabal turned to Domino, who was holding a phone, and asked urgently.

"When exactly will the Marines arrive?"

Domino, equally nervous, saluted.

"Uh... I'm sorry, Deputy Warden. The Marines are on their way, but even at the fastest speed, it will take four hours for the warship to arrive."

"Four... four hours..."

Hannyabal felt a sense of impending doom.

He couldn't wait four hours. It had only been half an hour since the prison break, and the prisoners had already advanced from LV5 to LV2. If they had three and a half more hours, Marine reinforcements might arrive just as they were cleaning up.

Domino, aware of Hannyabal's anxiety, tried to comfort him.

"Although the warship will take some time, according to Naval Headquarters, Admiral Kizaru is on his way. He is a user of the Sparkling Fruit and is extremely fast.

We can't contact him now, so we don't know his exact location. Additionally, Admiral Aokiji is also on his way.

He wields the Frozen Fruit. Though he isn't as fast as Admiral Kizaru, he won't be too slow."

Upon hearing this, Hannyabal finally breathed a sigh of relief.

With two powerful Admirals coming to support him, he might not face death after all.

But just as he was thinking this, countless prisoners appeared before Hannyabal, accompanied by loud gunfire and excited roars.

Despite being just a minor figure, Hannyabal summoned his courage as the Deputy Warden, waving his naginata and shouting.

"If this place falls, the outside world will be engulfed in terror. Therefore, we must confine these criminals and prevent them from escaping."

"Yes!!!"

The guards were motivated and prepared to fight the prisoners...

LV4 Blazing Hell

As Magellan was engulfed by the flames and fell to the ground, losing all resistance, he watched Gnar striding away and roared in frustration.

"Ahem... Do you realize what you're doing? If these prisoners are released, the sea will be plunged into fear and despair because of these escaped criminals."

Gnar, who was about to leave, suddenly stopped upon hearing Magellan's roar. He turned his head and laughed as if he had heard something amusing.

"Hey, Director Magellan, stop saying things that make people laugh. As the director of this prison, you should understand better than I do what real fear and despair are in this sea..."

With that, he gave Magellan a meaningful glance, turned away, and continued on his way.

Only Magellan was left with a shocked expression.

He finally understood what Gnar was implying...
