Chapter 80 Demon Valley Town

Mogu Town is located on Gaya Island in the first half of the Grand Line.

From the outside, it appears to be a picturesque vacation spot. The island is beautiful, and various ships frequently dock here.

In reality, Mogu Town is incredibly lively and is even known as the "gold-selling cave" of the first half of the Grand Line.

But the visitors spending money here are not tourists; they are pirates who roam the Grand Line.

Indeed, Mogu Town is a pirate haven—a lawless paradise for pirates.

Chaos is the defining feature of this island.

Walking through the streets, you can see constant disputes and fights among pirates.

This is an island where pirates engage in joyous revelry even while clashing with one another.

The island's fame began with a legend about Rolando, a legendary explorer from 400 years ago. He claimed to have seen a city made of gold on Gaya Island, which he named Golden Land Shantora.

Although it turned out that Rolando's tales were fabrications and no such golden city existed, the legend attracted countless treasure hunters to the island. Even though they found no gold, the influx of people turned Gaya Island into a bustling pirate stronghold—a lawless zone that the World Government prefers to avoid.

From above, the island is teeming with notorious pirates. Bounties exceeding 10 million berries are common, making this a true paradise for pirates. The busiest spot on this pirate island is the bar.

Recently, as news of the Impel Down prison break continues to spread, pirates on the island seem more invigorated than ever. They eagerly anticipate the chaos that such news brings.

In one particular tavern:

The bar is named "Blood Emperor," after the infamous pirate with a bounty of 1.45 billion berries. Blood Emperor Gnar's bounty poster is prominently displayed.

The pirates in the bar, drinking and chatting excitedly, gaze at the bounty poster, imagining the glory of having such a high bounty themselves.

A bounty of 1.45 billion berries is beyond their wildest dreams.

The highest bounty among the pirates in Demon Valley Town is only 60 million berries.

"Wow... this is unbelievable. What's the story behind this guy?"

"1.45 billion berries—such a bounty is unparalleled on the seas..."

"The Marines must be in trouble. I heard they lost three warships and two new Admirals were injured..."

"Yes, I heard the title 'Blood Emperor' was specially assigned to him by the Marines..."

"What's the significance of that?"

"I heard this pirate was unhappy with his previous bounty and title, so he orchestrated the Impel Down breakout..."

"Is that true?"

"Hahaha, who knows? But I've decided—I'm heading to sea next. I'm joining the banner of Blood Emperor Gnar. Only by following someone like him can I achieve my dreams..."

"Me too. Let's go together. He hasn't entered the New World yet. This is our best chance..."

...

In a corner, Robin, disguised as an ordinary woman, listens quietly to the pirates' conversation.

While she is pleased to hear them discussing Gnar, she is disappointed that she hasn't gleaned any useful information.

Just as she is about to pay and leave, the door of the bar swings open. A man in a black suit, with short blond hair, walking arrogantly and wearing small glasses, enters. He is followed by three peculiar figures.

Robin immediately recognizes them and suppresses her surprise, settling back into her chair.

The other pirates also recognize the newcomers and realize they are not to be trifled with.

"Hey... isn't that the Donquixote Pirates?"

"That man must be Doflamingo, with a bounty of 180 million berries, also known as Heavenly Yaksha..."

"This place is getting more interesting. I never expected such a notorious group to visit this small island..."

...

Indeed, the group entering the bar is the Donquixote Pirates, led by Doflamingo.

Ignoring the whispers of the patrons, the Donquixote Pirates make their way inside.

Upon entering, they immediately notice the conspicuous bounty poster of Blood Emperor Gnar.

Doflamingo sits down on a sofa and grins wickedly.

"I never thought I'd see this here... Bah! This man is really our lucky star. Torebol, let's take a break on this island."

Hearing this, the Donquixote Pirates breathe a sigh of relief.

"Great, we can finally rest, young master."

The speaker is Torebol, codenamed Plum Blossom.

After their young master killed the traitor Rosinante, the Marines, led by Vice Admiral Crane, launched numerous operations against the Donquixote Pirates, leaving them exhausted.

"We owe this guy a debt of thanks. If he hadn't drawn the Marines' attention, we'd be in serious trouble!"

The speaker is Diamante, codenamed Cube.

He's not exaggerating.

Since the Impel Down breakout ten days ago, the Marines have been weakened.

Vice Admiral Crane and her subordinates who pursued them were captured, giving the Donquixote Pirates a much-needed breather.

Doflamingo, still smiling, says,

"Hey, luck is a part of strength. It's a pity this guy is missing now. Otherwise, I'd love to meet him..."

This surprises several of his crew.

"Why, young master?"

Doflamingo replies,

"Because we're still too weak. Just one officer makes us look this foolish. If only..."

Before Doflamingo can finish his thought, the bar's door opens once more.

Leading the new arrival is Crocodile, and the Baroque Works crew follows him into the bar.

The two groups face each other in astonishment...
