"I said no! Means no! Why do I have to go to Aoi's place for a while?" Void whined like a kid stuck to his bed while being pulled. "It's embarrassing to act like this, but I have to do this. I don't want to meet Christina!" he thought to himself.
"No way we can let you train more!" Vivienne exclaimed, trying to pull him out of the bed. "And I can't let you stay here. Mr. Leonard is going to come, and I can't let you ruin my perfect chance!"
Still keeping his grip tight on his bed, Void pleaded, "Mother, why are you not stopping Vivi?" Maria, lost in her own thoughts, remained silent.
"Mother won't stop you this time. Don't you want to become strong? Are you forgetting that the Takahashi family are experts in their skills and strength in ice and water magic?" Vivienne's words struck a chord with Void.
Listening to this, Void finally let go of the bed. Because Vivienne was pulling him so hard, they both fell aside. "Alright! Let's go! Miss Arcane! Pack my belongings!" Void stood up, resolute. "I forgot that the Takahashi family can help me with new skills," he thought.
As Void gave the command, Arcane bowed. In the blink of an eye, she prepared his belongings.
"Neat! Let's…" Void was interrupted by Cassey, who seemed to have just arrived. "Mr. Void, I'll be joining you too as I have water affinity as well, and I need to train myself. Luckily, Miss Maria has already given me approval!" Cassey came close to Void, hugging his shoulder and steering him to the right. "Shall we go, Miss Arcane? And I'll keep you safe, Mr. Void."
Both Arcane and Cassey, holding his arms, led him out of the mansion. Maria and Marcus were letting out tears of joy.
The house of Takahashi was in the northern part of the country, where the climate was cold. Yet, their territory was both warm and cold at the same time, as if the mana there worked as one desired.
From what Void learned from Marcus, the Takahashi family was one of those rare families with natural mana users. However, these users never shared their teachings on how to harness it, and Void understood why.
Natural mana was the energy present in the environment, helping plants grow, making rain fall; essentially, it was the lifeblood of the planet. Every living being drew their mana from this natural source, but only a small amount, as each person's capacity to hold mana was limited.
Using natural mana meant tapping into the limitless energy of the surroundings, not just one's own reserves. Void had realized this during the assassin attack.
Lost in thought, Void snapped back to reality when he felt Cassey and Arcane still holding his arms. "Hey, what are you doing? Don't sleep in my arms without…"
Void started feeling dizzy. "Well, I think…," he yawned, "it's okay to take a nap!"
