"Please, could Lord Demon clarify?" Luo Tianya asked in confusion.

He had no idea how he might have offended the Demon Lord.

"Are you sending people to hunt down Ruying?" Ning Yechen asked coldly, his eyes narrowing.

Luo Tianya frowned, looking more puzzled. "Lord Demon, are you joking? Ruying is my daughter. Why would I send someone to kill her?"

Um? Wasn't it his instigation? Ning Yechen was equally confused, scrutinizing Luo Tianya closely. His calm breath, confused eyes, and consistent expression suggested he wasn't lying. Could it be that it wasn't Luo Temple chasing Luo Ruying?

At this point, Luo Tianya began to explain. "Although I don't know why you are looking for my daughter, she was taken away by a powerful force over a hundred years ago. I haven't seen her since."

"What is the name of the force that took her away?" Ning Yechen asked solemnly. Since it wasn't Luo Temple, it had to be the force that took her.

Hearing Luo Tianya's inquiry, Ning Yechen quickly adjusted his demeanor. He sat up straight, adopting a kind and friendly smile. His earlier cold and arrogant look vanished, replaced by a hint of flattery. Initially, he had prepared to confront Luo Temple with his demon lord attitude, but realizing the misunderstanding, he restrained himself. After all, Luo Tianya was his father-in-law.

Crossing his legs and frowning, he thought, how rude! He had to leave a good impression. Ning Yechen was extremely glad he hadn't rashly destroyed Luo Temple.

"Ahem, Lord of Luo Temple, your daughter is fine now. You don't have to worry," Ning Yechen said politely with a smile, a complete turnaround from his earlier attitude.

Luo Tianya felt even more uneasy. The Demon Lord wanted him to use his real name? This was unprecedented in the Immortal World. Who dared to call the Demon Lord by his name?

"Ye... Yechen?" Luo Tianya called cautiously.

"Yes! Lord of Luo Temple, please tell me~" Ning Yechen smiled contentedly. The relationship between son-in-law and father-in-law was progressing. However, it wasn't easy to reveal his relationship with Luo Ruying just yet. At least, he had to wait until she accepted his identity before making it public.

Luo Tianya, still apprehensive about Ning Yechen's sudden flattery, was more worried about his daughter's condition. So he asked, "You must have met my daughter, right? How is she now, and where is she?"

"She's fine now, you don't have to worry. As for where she is, I won't tell you for the time being," Ning Yechen replied, deciding not to disclose Luo Ruying's whereabouts. Mentioning that Luo Ruying had her immortal bones and heart ripped out would only cause more worry.

His intuition told him something had happened to his daughter. He couldn't sit and wait for death. Luo Tianya looked solemn and shouted outside the house, "Someone, come!"
