My eyes flickered between the busy road ahead and Yavannah's sleeping form, and each glance left me more distracted than the last. She was curled up in the passenger seat, her head resting against the window with her face towards me. Her face was bare, and the freckles that dotted the upper bridge of her nose sparkled in the dim glow of the dashboard lights. I wanted to touch them and see if it would leave an imprint on my skin, but I refrained from doing so. Aside from how stupid that sounded, I didn't have an explanation to give Yavannah if she woke up and found me touching her face like some creep.
