"Another world's Yahweh?"

Ophis's gaze was fixed on Yahweh, her expression unreadable.

She had known the God of the Bible, one of the few beings in this world who had been her equal. She had even considered approaching him for help in her battle against Great Red.

This Yahweh was a perfect replica...

Their essence, their divine nature—it was a mirror image. Combined with their shared name, a sacred word imbued with divine power... Ophis had no doubt:

She was facing another version of the God of the Bible.

"Indeed," Yahweh replied with a smile. She hadn't bothered concealing her identity.

Ophis's sudden arrival, while unexpected, was a pleasant surprise. She had learned of Ophis's nature and motivations from Mika and had already formulated a plan.

Now, all she had to do was adapt.

"So, what brings the Infinite Dragon God to my humble abode? Surely not to eliminate me?" Yahweh teased, her voice light and playful.

Ophis, however, was serious.

"I'm not here to fight. I need your help to defeat Great Red. I'll do anything you ask." Her gaze was intense, her voice filled with a desperate hope.

She could sense Yahweh's immense power. While they were both at the same level, she suspected Yahweh was stronger.

"Defeat Great Red?" Yahweh paused, considering her request. "It's possible."

Ophis's eyes lit up.

"However," Yahweh continued, shaking her head, "Even with both of us, it wouldn't be enough."

This wasn't a lie. She had observed Great Red—the being who resided in the Dimensional Gap, and knew he was a force of nature—a being on the verge of transcending to an even higher plane of existence. Compared to him, even she was a novice.

"What?!"

"You likely believe I brought Mika here by bypassing Great Red's defenses. But the truth is—We used a special world-hopping ability,"

Yahweh explained, a subtle smile playing on her lips. She wasn't concerned about revealing Mika's world-hopping ability.

In this world, only Great Red could really challenge her. And Ophis, while their battle would be a stalemate, it wouldn't be a true threat.

Besides, without bait, how could she catch this Dragon?

"A world-hopping ability?" Ophis's initial excitement faded, replaced by a dawning realization. Her hope of returning home had once again been dashed.

"Don't lose hope. While we may not be strong enough to defeat Great Red now, that doesn't mean we won't be in the future," Yahweh said, her voice filled with a quiet confidence.

"What hope?" Ophis asked, her voice a whisper.

"Other worlds, of course. My own power, once limited, has grown exponentially through my travels, through experiencing different worlds, different power systems. If you were to join us, your power, too, would grow. Eventually, you'll be strong enough to defeat Great Red."

The trap had been set.

"You said you'd do anything for my help, didn't you? Then join us. Explore other worlds, experience their unique wonders, and grow stronger."

Yahweh had been eyeing Ophis for quite some time.

Her immense talent, her pure, unadulterated power, her single-minded focus—it made her the perfect candidate for Yahweh's special project.

And once they left this world, without Mika's help, she would be completely reliant on them. Her loyalty, fueled by her desire to return home, would be absolute. Unlike the other Gods, whose loyalties were often flexible, Ophis was a far more reliable ally.

"Other worlds...?" Ophis repeated, a flicker of hope in her eyes. It was a momentous decision. To leave her own world, to venture into the unknown, all for a chance to return home—

It was a gamble.

"It's your best option," Mika said, joining their conversation. "Do you really believe the Khaos Brigade can help you defeat Great Red? They're weak. And besides them, what other options do you have? If there were any, you would have already taken them, wouldn't you?"

His words, a final, decisive blow, shattered Ophis's hesitation.

"I'll do it. I'll go with you," she said, her voice firm.

"Welcome to the team, Ophis." Mika and Yahweh exchanged smiles and extended their hands in welcome.

———

With Ophis now part of their family, Yahweh was ecstatic. Later that evening, she and Mika sat together, their earlier excitement having faded into a comfortable silence.

"So... how are things on your end?" Mika asked. They hadn't had a chance to speak privately.

"Everything is proceeding as planned." Yahweh was pleased with their journey to the High School DxD world. The knowledge she had acquired, the insights she had gained, were invaluable.

She had learned so much from the God of the Bible's legacy. He had been a true prodigy, a being who had transcended his own kind, reaching a level of power that had once seemed unattainable. If not for the existence of Ophis and Great Red, he would have been the strongest in this world.

And now, his legacy was hers. It was an opportunity she would never have again. She was grateful.

Mika, seeing her smile, felt a surge of happiness. Her growth was his growth; their fates were intertwined.

"Since everything is settled here, perhaps it's time to return," Mika said suddenly.

"Return? To where?"

"Sanctuary." His voice was firm.

"I can't wait any longer. I want to invade the sea," He declared.

His battle with Ophis had ignited a fire within him, a desire for action... for conquest.

He had spent the journey back to Heaven contemplating his next move.

Would he continue his leisurely pace, following his carefully crafted plan? Or would he accelerate his growth, actively seeking out new challenges?

He had always been a driven individual, his early years filled with constant struggle, his will to survive forged in the crucible of countless battles.

But as he grew stronger, as his path became clearer, his earlier ambition had faded, replaced by a quiet confidence. He knew he would eventually reach his goals. He didn't need to rush.

But his duel with Ophis had changed that. It had reminded him of the thrill of battle, the exhilaration of pushing his limits.

"I'm greedy. I want more," Mika admitted, a smile playing on his lips. "It's both a blessing and a curse. My ambition drives me forward, prevents me from losing my way. But it also attracts powerful enemies. And I can't afford to give them time to prepare. I have to be faster, stronger, always moving, always growing."

The realization was liberating.

He felt the last of his earlier hesitation vanish, replaced by a renewed sense of purpose.

When had he changed?

He remembered his early days, his constant struggle to keep up with the prodigies around him, his relentless pursuit of strength.

But then, as his power grew, as his talent blossomed, his drive had waned. He had become complacent.

"Time—it's a terrifying thing. It erodes even the strongest will, dulls even the sharpest edge." He recalled a certain mobile game from his past life.

But now, thanks to Ophis, he had rediscovered his fighting spirit.

He wouldn't wait for Poseidon to attack Athena. He would take the fight to him, leading the Gold Saints into his undersea kingdom, using the Sea God's reincarnated form to achieve his next Great Feat.

Then, he would begin the final stage of his journey:

His ascension to Godhood.

"So, you've decided to attack?" Yahweh asked, having sensed his change, his renewed determination.

She supported his decision.

Whether he chose a path of peace or one of war, it didn't matter. He was still Mika. Her role was simply to support him, to help him achieve his goals. They would always be together.

"How long do you need? Three days?" she asked. "I need to finalize a few things here, my experiments, the arrangements for the Angels—"

Mika's decision had been sudden, and Yahweh had her own plans.

While most were flexible, some required more time. And she couldn't simply abandon the Angels who had pledged their loyalty to her. It would be unethical.

"Is three days enough?" Mika asked. He knew his request was impulsive.

"Don't worry. I'll always support you." She cupped his face in her hands, her gaze filled with a quiet affection.
