Chapter 90 - Lucas is MIA

"Please, carry on. The CEO will not be joining us," Bella said, addressing the staff gathered around the table in the meeting room.

The murmur of voices died down as everyone turned their attention back to the presentation, though a lingering sense of curiosity remained. Lucas's absence was becoming the unspoken thing in the office.

Lucas had been MIA for an entire week, and while he was known to be dedicated, this pattern was unusual even for him.

Each morning, he'd arrive before anyone else, complete his essential tasks, and then, without a word, vanish by 8 a.m. As the week progressed, rumors and speculation rippled through the office, but nobody had a clue about where he went or why.

He'd left strict instructions for all of his assignments to be sent to him digitally, refusing any in-person meetings or visits.
