"Why are you here?" He asked his anger down when he set eyes on the person on the chair by his desk.

She rolled her eyes and decided to stop teasing, "Hello" she greeted, got up and gave him a quick hug.

Lucas, seeing her behavior let the earlier remark slide, he took a seat behind his desk and gestured for her to take the seat opposite. "Evelyn, why are you here without prior notice?" He asked, his tone calm.

Seeing he was on business, Evelyn took a seat and her playful expression got replaced by a serious one.

"Dad wants me to help him run his company, he might've not spoken it out but I know he's trying to force me away from my computers" she said, sounding aggrieved.

"He just wants what's best for you," Lucas replied, clearly uninterested in her whining.

"Well what he thinks is best. I absolutely hate it" she replied, making eye contact with Lucas.
