Chapter 100 - Alima's questions

Bella stood before the mirror, carefully combing her daughter's hair. It was her first day back to school, and the little girl wanted to look her best.

She had been discharged from the hospital a month ago, and the doctor had given full clearance. Alima's body didn't reject the heart in any way and instead fully accepted it.

"Mommy, I'm thin" the little girl whined and looked at herself in the mirror.

"It's okay, you've been ill for a long time now, but you'll gain your weight back " Bella coaxed, pressing a quick kiss on her face.

"Now, do you want braids or braids?" She teased, earning a bout of laughter from the little girl.

"Braids ma'am, and make them pretty," Alima giggled.

A smile graced Bella's lips and she pressed a quick kiss on her daughter's temples before going back to braiding her hair.

Bella braided her hair into two, tying the ends with rubber bands. "There you go," she stated with a satisfied sigh.
