Wrong Words, Wrong Time

"Am I your friend?"

"Huh?"

"You said so yourself that day-"

"I said I don't fucking remember, why would I consider you my brother alike?"

Zephyr hissed, slamming his glass down, glaring at him that hearing it shocked him and to speak in his heart was unfathomable.

'Brother-like?!' Delvin thought in disbelief.

"Okay, you saved me and I trust you blindly that anyone can betray me, even Azura, but not you."

"What?"

"You helped me, you taught me kindness, you have grown too close and you have to be the best man in my wedding." He growled, curling his hand in a fist from determination.

"Then you will be my guard so then no one will disrespect you-"

And he indirectly gave him the answer he sought, stopping instantly when he realized what he ended up speaking.

Forming his lips in a thin line, Delvin averted his gaze awkwardly.

"... I did not say that much. I didn't know I meant that much."
