Life Back On Track

Two weeks had passed since they were struggling to place everything on track again.

They knew ceasing wasn't an option but the damage was wretched which resulted in the requirement for a reprieve.

"I am promising you, Master, my hands will be the end of that monster's existence,"

Zephyr was with Khaleed, staring at his burns, bandages and unconscious form evoked an intolerable pain in his chest.

"I caused this, I will end this, even if it kills me,"

There were things he still wanted to ask but everything was left unanswered with a sting and determination.

As he was telling about his intention with a stern expression, May entered, taking a seat as well.

Hanging his head low with joined fingers, he asked hesitantly, "Is there any chance of him waking up soon, May?"

"I am afraid not,"

Eyeing him from up close, she leaned back and spoke to get his reaction, "You haven't asked about Daisy yet,"
