"No," Lan Yudie shook her head.
"Then why can't you sleep?" Xiao Han whispered in her ear. Holding someone in his arms and inhaling her fragrant scent felt incredibly comforting, as if all the happiness in the world was concentrated on him.
"I've been thinking a lot," Lan Yudie sighed, "What would people think if the schoolteachers knew we spent the night here? Would Principal Chen Aiguo criticize me if he found out?"
"Men and women in love, we're a couple, who can meddle in our affairs?" Xiao Han snorted coldly.
Lan Yudie frowned, "But this is a society, a society of people. Since it's a society of people, we have to live considering others' feelings and the impact we might have on them."
"Isn't living like that very tiring?" Xiao Han said.
"Living is inherently tiring," Lan Yudie said.
"Don't be so negative," Xiao Han laughed, "Being too negative isn't good. People should be positive and optimistic."
"Of course, I know," Lan Yudie nodded.
