Chapter 62: Not Called Great Saint but Rebel Sage

Who was this change? It was none other than the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, the Monkey King of yore. Such a Monkey King--how could this be seen? There exists a poem as proof, which says: "With a Purple Gold Crown on his head, radiance piercing the sky; draped in a battle robe, enveloped by purple aura; wearing a chainmail, brilliantly splendid; with his helmet tassels knotted behind his head; a White Jade Belt, where a giant python coils; Golden Thread Boots, chasing the wind and eclipsing the sun; wielding the Buddha Beating Staff, with the Divine Dragon soaring to the sky; atop a Blue Lotus, Chaos overflowing. Nuwa once mended the heavens with it, today it returns proclaiming him the Green Emperor!"

The crowd was astonished but kept silent.

The Great Might Heavenly Dragon, taken aback, said, "You weren't killed by the Buddha Ancestor?"

Wukong chuckled and said, "How could that Tathagata so easily kill yours truly?"
