Peng Sanye and Su Shu had not been chatting long when a villager hurried back from outside to report that rescue troops were making their way through the blocked roads to enter the village.
Both were overjoyed and went along with the others to arrange the welcoming of the rescuers.
Su Shu hadn't expected the rescuers to arrive so quickly, and he breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the mountain road was cleared, other matters would be easier to handle.
When the villagers heard that the rescuers were clearing the road and would soon arrive, everyone was thrilled.
Su Shu entrusted Xiao'ai to a trustworthy person and freed up his hands to help out. The remaining able-bodied people of Peng Village, led by Peng Sanye with tools in hand, went to the blocked section of the mountain road to assist the troops on the other side in clearing the way.
