Chapter 108: The Dean Will Seek Justice for You

A few hours later, the sun began to rise, casting a faint, white hue over the horizon. The streets of Heaven Dou City were starting to bustle with activity.

"Oh my gosh, look! How did someone end up hanging from a streetlight?" someone in the crowd suddenly noticed two unlucky individuals hanging from a streetlight and immediately shouted in shock.

As soon as the exclamation rang out, more and more people noticed Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun hanging from the lamp. At this moment, neither of them was wearing any clothes. After a long, cold night, their faces were pale beyond description.

This incident quickly swept through the streets and alleys of Heaven Dou City. Upon hearing about it, the dean of their academy quickly brought them back to Lanba Academy and issued a statement, vowing to find and bring to justice the culprit behind this attack on his students.

Lying in a hospital bed within Lanba Academy, Dai Mubai stared blankly at the ceiling. His heroic and dignified image had been utterly destroyed. Even Oscar, whom he always considered a loyal follower, now looked at him with contempt when he came to visit. Evidently, Ning Rongrong had already told Oscar what had happened last night.

However, what surprised him was that Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing hadn't told Flender and the others about the events of the previous night. This meant that he and Ma Hongjun hadn't been immediately thrown out into the streets. Dai Mubai knew that if Flender had known the full story, he would have mercilessly expelled both of them from the academy. Even so, Dai Mubai was painfully aware that, from now on, just this one incident alone was enough to ensure that he and Ma Hongjun would never be able to lift their heads in front of those two women again.

"Boss Dai, who was it that attacked us last night?" Ma Hongjun, who was also lying in a hospital bed, struggled to sit up. His face was full of grievance as he lamented, "My handsome face almost got ruined!"

Dai Mubai didn't respond to Ma Hongjun's complaints. Instead, he let out a heavy sigh. If only he hadn't been thinking with his lustful desires last night, none of this would have happened. If only he had stopped Ma Hongjun in time, they might have spent the night in bliss instead of hanging from a streetlight. But there was no medicine for regret, and he couldn't turn back time.

At that moment, a series of footsteps echoed from outside the room, and the door to the infirmary was pushed open. It was Flender and the others who entered.

"Mubai, Hongjun, what happened to you two?" Flender's face was extremely dark. His two favorite students had been humiliated like this, and as the dean, he couldn't tolerate it.

"Dean, you have to get justice for us!" Ma Hongjun immediately wailed when he saw Flender. "You know I haven't been able to deal with my evil fire lately, and that's what made me lose control and do something bad."

"But I never expected that right after I lost control, someone would beat me into this miserable state. Dean, you have to get revenge for me!"

Flender frowned. He knew about Ma Hongjun's evil fire issue, but he'd been so busy lately that he had forgotten to deal with it. Yet, he hadn't expected such a disaster to happen the moment they arrived at Lanba Academy. Fortunately, he and Zhao Wuji had gone out this morning, or the two of them would still be hanging from that streetlight.

"Mubai, so you were with him?" Flender asked, looking at Dai Mubai.

"Yes," Dai Mubai nodded, confirming that Ning Rongrong and the others hadn't told Flender about what had actually happened last night.

"Sigh, this whole thing is partly my fault," Flender said, shaking his head with a sigh. He then turned to the Grandmaster and asked, "Xiaogang, as a master of martial soul theory, do you have any good solutions to Ma Hongjun's evil fire problem?"

"Let me think," the Grandmaster said, rubbing his chin as he pondered. After a brief moment, he casually suggested, "The best way to solve Ma Hongjun's evil fire problem is to address it at the root. To prevent him from being controlled by the evil fire in the future, why not just… remove it entirely? That would also guarantee his safety in the long run."

"What? Remove it?" Flender was stunned. He never expected the usually reliable Grandmaster to give such a drastic suggestion. Ma Hongjun's 'little brother' had barely been saved last night, and now the Grandmaster was suggesting they remove it? What would become of Ma Hongjun then?

"No, no, Teacher! You can't listen to the Grandmaster's nonsense! It might be a little small, but it still works!" Ma Hongjun's face was filled with horror as he clutched his private parts protectively and protested loudly.

Flender rubbed his forehead, feeling exasperated. He hadn't expected the Grandmaster to come up with such an outrageous idea. He quickly walked over to Ma Hongjun's bed and, with a serious expression, reassured him, "Don't worry, Hongjun. I won't let the Grandmaster cut anything off. For now, just rest and recover. Let the Grandmaster take care of you for a while. He can research your evil fire problem and see if there's a more suitable solution, so you won't always be plagued by it."

"Teacher, as long as there are women, I can solve the problem! There's no need for such careful research," Ma Hongjun said with a bitter smile.

"You'll do as I say. Relying on women isn't the proper way for a true spirit master to deal with things." Flender patted Ma Hongjun's shoulder, then turned to Dai Mubai and said, "Don't worry, Mubai. I will get to the bottom of who attacked you and Hongjun. I'll make sure you both get justice."

As soon as Flender said that, Dai Mubai blurted out, almost instinctively, "Dean, maybe we should just let it go. After all, it was partly because of Hongjun's evil fire, and I didn't stop him right away. We kind of deserved the beating."

"How could we let it go?" Before Flender could respond, the Grandmaster interjected, frowning. "You're students of Shrek Academy. It's fine if we don't bully others, but how could we allow others to bully us?"

He turned to Flender and continued, "Flender, my disciple Tang San is also a student of Shrek. If he were ever bullied, I would fight to the death to get justice for him."

"Besides, it's just a woman. Even if Hongjun did something with her, so what? Compensate her, and that's the end of it. Don't forget that Shrek's students are monsters and, more importantly, they are noble spirit masters!"

The word "spirit master" seemed to spark a special pride in the Grandmaster's eyes, as though the title brought with it a unique sense of superiority.

Although Flender sensed that something wasn't quite right with what the Grandmaster said, when he looked at Dai Mubai's dazed expression, he was still determined to get justice for his students. However, the timing wasn't ideal. With Lanba Academy being renamed as Shrek Academy, there were still many pressing issues to deal with. This matter would have to wait.

Unbeknownst to Flender, the dazed Dai Mubai had already cursed the Grandmaster in his heart. As the person involved, didn't he know what had really happened last night? If it had been an ordinary woman, would he and Ma Hongjun have ended up like this? It was clear that their assailant wasn't ordinary!

The Grandmaster mistook Dai Mubai's blank expression for admiration for his words, and puffed out his chest in pride, confident in his judgment.
