[004] Causing a Small Dispute

BECAUSE OF THE special identity of Izuku being the only student under All Might, the number one hero, Izuku has to go to school earlier than the others, as he was required to report with All Might to the school principal.

It was because the only person who knows Izuku's relationship with All Might is Principal Nezu. They waited for the start of the written exam in that place before they let Izuku leave the office.

Since it wasn't the first time Izuku visited the school, he already knew the way to where he would be taking his written exam.

Being an inborn genius, Izuku didn't take an hour before he finished all his exams so he came to the place where the orientation for the practical exam will be taking place.

When he entered, there were already some examinees who probably took an early schedule of the written exam.

Choosing a more inconspicuous area, Izuku took a seat as he waited for the place to be full of people and for the orientation to start.

And not long after, the whole place was crowded with examinees and the orientation finally started. The teacher who would do the orientation on stage was a well-known pro-hero.

Mic Sensei, also known as Present Mic, started his introduction. He started explaining everything to the examinees. Despite the big and crowded area, Present Mic doesn't need to use a voice amplifier, as his quirk was enough to make everyone hear what he was saying.

Izuku, who already knew about the mechanics in advance, busied himself with looking around. Because of his three-year imprisonment on I-Island with only adults around, Izuku was so amazed to see many examinees who were the same age as him.

He keeps on mumbling to himself about his curiousities, such as what would be their quirks and such.

Izuku couldn't help but feel the excitement of seeing Katsuki in the same batch of practical exam takers as him so he would always roam his eyes around in thought of spotting a familiar blonde.

Unknown to him, because of so much excitement, Izuku, who only learned about his new secondary gender, wasn't able to get a grip on his dominant traits, which he was subconsciously releasing, affecting the examinees around him.

One examinee in the area raised his hands to call out Present Mic's attention.

"Please speak, examinee number 1715."

The called examinee stood up in attention as all eyes except for one looked in his direction.

"I am examinee no. 1715, Iida Tenya. I have two concerns and one of them is about the practical exam. Will you be clarifying the rules about the zero pointer villain robot, sensei? As for the other one, you!"

Izuku, who was busy with his own world, felt many eyes staring at him so he was forced to pull himself back to the real world. He was really surprised when he saw everyone glaring at him.

He tried to look around to know how that happened when he saw the standing examinee, who was seven seats and one row away from him, pointing his hand in his direction.

Izuku wanted to look to his back to see if it was really him the other guy was pointing at when the latter clarified it in his face.

"Yes, it's you I am pointing at. The guy with greenette hair." The bespectacled guy slowly put down his pointing finger as he continued. "Can you restrain yourself? You're not only distracting us from your nonstop mumbling but we're also affected by your glare! Why go and take this hero test when you can't even control yourself?"

When Izuku heard that, he quickly stood up from his seat and did a one-eighty-degree bow.

"I-I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, everyone! I was so excited I couldn't stop mumbling. Actually, it has been a bad habit of mine that every time I'm too excited about something, I will subconsciously keep on mumbling—Ah! I'm sorry! You see, just as I had said! But what I'm trying to say is that I didn't mean any harm. As for the glare, I am deeply sorry. I'm still new to this so I couldn't grasp it well and so I don't have good control of it, but I'm working on it! Again, I am sorry, everyone!"

With one last bow, Izuku returned to his chair, his head a little lower. He was so embarrassed that he couldn't face anyone. If not for the hero exam, Izuku would have wished to be buried alive because of embarrassment.

Fortunately, the bespectacled guy didn't make it hard for him, as he also contentedly went back to his seat. Present Mic also took this gap to get everyone's attention back to him, which Izuku preferred.

When everyone's eyes were focused on the teacher in front, Izuku silently released a sigh as he tried to control himself and also made sure to lessen his sense of presence.

And after a few more questions and answers, the long-awaited practical exam finally started.

The moment that Izuku entered his battleground for the practical test, he did not quickly attack the robots but had a more leisurely walk around. From time to time, he would destroy or smash any robots he would find in his way as he tried to find Katsuki, whether they were on the same battleground.

Izuku was actually torn between wanting to see Katsuki and not because of what happened in the orientation.

He really wanted to see Katsuki, as he had been missing a few chances to meet the other guy since the time he returned from his secluded training with All Might.

On the other hand, Izuku also wishes that Katsuki was in a different battleground so that he wouldn't see the embarrassment that he caused at the orientation.

After making sure that Katsuki couldn't be found, Izuku released a sigh of relief but not for too long; he once again felt disappointed.

So in order to distract himself, Izuku took a different path from everyone. Increasing his agility with the assistance of his quirk, he finds a place where there are some villain robots but no examinees in place.

"This place should be fine," Izuku muttered to himself after making sure that no other person was around.

A small smile appeared on his face as he started to smash all the villain robots who tried to attack him. Because of how fast he moved, it was like he was teleporting in front of the robots before he smashed them to pieces.

And when he's done destroying everything, Izuku plasters a proud grin as he claps his hands, patting imaginary dirt on them.

"Now, let's find some comfortable place to mumble about as I wait for the exam to finish."

And Izuku did as was told. He was confident that with how many villain robots he destroyed, it was enough for him to pass the exam in a lie-low manner.

"HOW FASCINATING. There are quite a few of those interesting examinees for this year, isn't it?"

While the examinees are busy earning points, in the hidden room, where there are a lot of screens featuring different examinees from different battlegrounds, all the teachers and facilitators under the school have been watching them through the lens of surveillance cameras scattered around.

Among these people is the principal of the school, Principal Nezu, who is the only individual with an animal form.

"It is. Compared to the past two years of disappointment, maybe we can find some good seedlings this year," a slightly boorish voice added.

Principal Nezu laughed slightly. "Isn't it because most of the good seedlings were still under the care of our dearest pro-heroes? Fortunately, they are now willing to make these seedlings grow under our school's care."

"Speaking of, which one of them is Endeavor's son, Principal Nezu?" the lady with midnight hair asked. "I had been hearing that the old guy had been boasting about his kid so let's check about his son."

Instead of answering directly, Principal Nezu controlled the panel of the screen as one of the small surveillance videos enlarged in front of the teachers and facilitators.

"Heh! This guy, if not because half of his hair is the same color as his father, I would never think of him as Endeavor's child," the boorish voice once again commented.

"I couldn't disagree with you, Vlad Sensei. This guy is a cutie while that old man is not. Although, he's also strong. Just look at his rank."

The man with a boorish voice scoffed. "Not enough. My expectation for Endeavor's child is higher than that. So being the first in the ranking after thirty minutes is not amazing enough."

"You're too strict. He's not even your student."

"And it's not that I will accept him as one of my students."

Seeing that the two teachers were about to continue their bickering, the rest of the teachers ignored them as they once again watched the surveillance.

"This blonde guy is too rude in handling the robots. We should focus on teaching him control over his quirk," an older female voice commented while shaking her small head.

"Oh, another cutie! Principal Nezu, who's this guy?"

Midnight Sensei quickly ignored Vlad Sensei and looked at where Recovery Girl was looking.

Once again, Principal Nezu maneuvered the panel. Not only did he zoom in on that student's surveillance video, but the principal also clicked on another hidden panel of the student's information.

"Name, Katsuki Bakugo. Sixteen years old. Primary gender, male; secondary gender, a dom—oh...interesting!"

Everyone watched as Principal Nezu flashed a mysterious smile, which made everyone curious about whatever he read on the student's file.

"What is it, Principal Nezu?" Midnight Sensei asked curiously.

But Principal Nezu only shook his head as he continued.

"Among all the examinees in the rankings, this kid was the only normal exam taker who didn't get any recommendation letters. But he was able to take second place in the exam. Just look at how fast his points increase. It will only take him a few minutes before he overtakes Endeavor's son for the first rank."

"It's already expected with how he explodes everything around him," Vlad Sensei commented.

"What about that greenette boy?" a slightly languid voice butted in.

When that voice sounded, everyone in the room looked at the owner of the voice. It was a man with an unkempt and tired appearance.

"Oh my! Does our Aizawa Sensei have an interest in one of the examinees? Who is it?" Midnight Sensei teased.

The man, Aizawa Sensei, ignored her and looked at Principal Nezu.

"Well then, let's see." And the said examinee's surveillance was shown to everyone.

"Name's Izuku Midoriya—wait, isn't this the seedling that All Might-san recommended?"

And just like that, all attention was pointed to All Might, who had been quite the whole time. Although he's used to being the center of attention, in front of his co-pro heroes, All Might would still feel embarrassed.

But knowing that it was for a different reason, a feeling of pride and happiness outweighed that thought. So instead of clarifying it, All Might looked back to the screen where the said seedling's surveillance was still playing.

This action was enough clarification for the teachers, so they also stared at the screen as they continued to get amused and wonder about the said examinee.

Since All Might has no plan on answering any questions regarding his personal student, everyone in the room decided to watch first.

Seeing that All Might kept his mouth shut, Principal Nezu decided to help introduce the examinee's information to the rest of the teachers.

"The kid's name is Izuku Midoriya. He's a sixteen-year-old dom and the recommended student of All Might-san. His quirk is a power strength. As for the quirk's detail, just watch the kid how he uses his quirk. About his rank, he's the third on the rank. By the way, that Bakugo student is now in the first rank."

"So that's why he stopped destroying robots. But I still want to watch him use his powerful quirk. It was like I was watching the young All Might—but of course, a handsome and hot version."

Once again, All Might, who definitely heard her, did not comment and just watched silently. As for the others, they decided to watch again and wait for the result.

And seeing everyone's attention, the playful Principal Nezu decided to make the test hard for the examinees for better entertainment.

GOING BACK TO the battleground, Izuku was now leisurely sitting on top of a one-pointer villain robot as he waited for the exam to end. A number of destroyed one-pointer villain robots and some scattered two-pointer and three-pointer villain robots can be seen circling around Izuku in a mighty way.

Izuku had lost count of how many points there were, but he was sure that it wasn't bad enough to embarrass himself so he decided to take the remaining time to rest and practice his control over his dominant traits to avoid the incident in the orientation hall a while ago.

It was kind of hard but not too different from how he needed to control his sub-traits before.

The only difference was that when he was a sub, what he needed to control was his scent from releasing.

While now that he's a dom, he has to make sure to take hold of his instincts—especially his pheromones—which is harder than controlling scent because it can be easily affected by his mood and emotions.

If he's too mad, then he would subconsciously release an attacking pheromone, and if he's too happy, he might release a pheromone like oxytocin with a few scents of testosterone that would make subs around fall into submission, while doms who had lower dominant power than the person who released the pheromone could go feral and attack any sub in the area.

Fortunately, what he did a while ago was only to release his glare or else, if not, he might be eliminated for causing a more dangerous scene.

Izuku was about to fall asleep when suddenly he felt like his body was shaking on its own. Then he tried to feel the robot beneath him, and he also found that it was shaking as well.

"An earthquake?" he asked in confusion as he slowly sat up.

Then shouts from the other examinees erupted and it was all coming from his back so Izuku calmly looked into that area. There he saw that behind some running examinees towards his position, a giant robot that was bigger than the other villain robots appeared.

It was the familiar zero-pointer villain robot that no one wanted to encounter. He was still debating whether he would escape just like everyone else or he would attack when a loud shout for help was heard not far from the zero-pointer.

Izuku squinted his eyes to look for the person shouting for help. He decided to help since he would feel too guilty if he wasn't able to. How can he become proud to be a hero when he can't help others?

So when he found a female examinee under a big boulder of rock while the big feet of the giant zero-pointer robot were about to step on the said rock, Izuku used his quirk to increase his agility. And with only five steps, he reached the position before the villain robot.

Of course, he made sure that when he kicked the boulder away, it would hit the robot's landing feet with force.

The moment Izuku stopped, a few meters away from the area, another series of small earthquakes were experienced because of the impact of the broken giant robot's fall.

It was because the big rock hit the sole of the robot's feet with such force that instead of falling backward, the robot shook first before it broke into pieces. Probably from the shock of the hit's impact.

"Uhm…h-hey." Izuku looked back at the girl he just saved.

"Thank you for saving me."

Izuku suddenly felt embarrassed. It was because this was his first time saving a girl. Actually, aside from that suicide rescue he did with Katsuki, this was his first real rescue.

Since he trained with All Might, most of his rescue missions were fake, although there were really some real people who would be sacrificed as his rescue targets in real-life simulated scenarios.

All of it was real, but this one feels more genuine, especially the girl's thank you so it made Izuku feel especially shy and embarrassed. Izuku nodded timidly as he rubbed his nape.

"It's natural so there's no need for thank you's. I'm a future hero so it's normal for me to help."

"Well, you're right. How about we go and earn points together? I'm still lacking some points before the passing scores."

"Ah, no need. Mine's sufficient to have a passable score. Just go and earn your points," Izuku kindly turned down.

"Are you sure? You might have destroyed a big one but it's a zero-pointer. Although you didn't take long to get it down."

The girl couldn't even hide her disappointment but he still tried insisting.

"Yeah. So just focus on yours. After all, you only have more than ten minutes before the exam ends," Izuku reminded her, which made the girl yell in surprise.

"Oh shocks! Then I'll go ahead! I'll definitely try to compensate you if we meet again and you can't refuse me again, alright?"

Before Izuku could answer, the girl hurriedly fled, maybe because of her lack of points and time, or maybe because she's afraid she would be turned down again by the other guy.
