The Storm of Jealousy part 1

The Heavenly Palace glimmered under the celestial sky, its gold and white structures casting an ethereal glow. However, inside Sun Jin's private chambers, the atmosphere was anything but serene. The grand mirror in front of her reflected her rage, her normally graceful demeanor twisted with jealousy and heartbreak.

For centuries, Sun Jin had harbored feelings for Bai Jue, the immortal prince, the most revered of the gods in the Heaven Realm. Their families had always been close, and though he had never spoken of romantic love, she had always believed that their shared history meant they were destined to be together. So, when she heard that Bai Jue had married a mortal woman, Sun Jin's world crumbled.

"How could he do this?" she seethed, pacing the length of her chambers. "How could he choose a mortal over me, someone who has stood by his side for centuries?"

Her loyal servant, Lan Er, stood by the door, her face pale but expressionless. She had seen Sun Jin in these fits of rage before, but this time, the anger seemed deeper, more dangerous.

"My lady," Lan Er ventured cautiously, "perhaps you should speak to him. Find out why he made this choice—"

"No!" Sun Jin snapped, her hands clenched into fists. "I will not wait for his explanations. I'll confront that mortal myself. She doesn't belong in his world, in my world." She turned to Lan Er, her eyes blazing with determination. "We're going to the mortal realm. I will end this farce myself."

Before Lan Er could protest, Sun Jin summoned her immortal energy, her form shimmering as she activated the ancient spell that allowed immortals to travel between realms. In a flash of light, they vanished from the Heaven Realm, heading toward the mortal world.

The weather in the mortal city of Xia was calm and pleasant, a stark contrast to the storm brewing inside the mansion of Bai Jue. As Sun Jin and Lan Er materialized at the gates, the guards stationed at the entrance, unused to dealing with immortals, instantly fell under Sun Jin's enchantment. Her power overwhelmed them, forcing them to stand aside as she swept into the mansion, her flowing robes trailing behind her like a cloud of fury.

Lan Er followed closely, her steps hesitant, feeling the weight of the imminent confrontation. Inside, the mansion's servants were busy with their daily duties, completely unaware of the tempest about to hit. They barely had time to react as Sun Jin strode through the grand hall, her fiery eyes fixed on the path ahead. The air grew heavy with her anger, an invisible pressure causing the servants to freeze where they stood.

Sun Jin barely registered their presence. Her mind was consumed by a singular thought—find the mortal woman.

The mansion was opulent, its décor a perfect blend of immortal elegance and earthly warmth, but none of it mattered to Sun Jin. Every step she took felt like an affront. She passed by the grand paintings and silk drapes, her anger intensifying with each reminder that Bai Jue had built this home for another woman, a mortal woman.

"Where is she?" Sun Jin hissed under her breath. "Where is this mortal who thinks she can take my place?"

Da Yi, Bai Jue's loyal eunuch, was the first to notice Sun Jin's arrival. Recognizing the immortal lady, his heart sank. He knew of Sun Jin's feelings for Bai Jue, and he knew her presence here spelled trouble. Rushing to intercept her, he reached her just as she was about to enter the private wing of the mansion.

"Lady Sun Jin!" he called, bowing deeply to show respect but also to stall her. "Please, this is not—"

"Out of my way!" Sun Jin snapped, her eyes flashing dangerously. She had no patience for pleasantries. With a flick of her wrist, a surge of her immortal energy hit Da Yi, sending him staggering back. He hit the ground hard, gasping for breath as he struggled to stand.

"How dare you stand in my way!" Sun Jin's voice was icy, her fury spilling over as she stormed past him. She reached the door to Bai Jue's bedroom, her eyes narrowing as she sensed the mortal woman inside. Without hesitation, she flung the doors open, her eyes blazing with hatred.

Inside the bedroom, Yang Mi slept peacefully, oblivious to the storm that had just entered her life. The room was a reflection of Bai Jue's dual worlds—the elegant simplicity of the Heaven Realm mixed with the earthy comforts of the mortal realm. Soft silks adorned the bed, and warm light filtered in from the open windows, casting the room in a serene glow. But that serenity was shattered in an instant as Sun Jin stormed in, her presence filling the room with a suffocating sense of danger.

Yang Mi stirred awake, blinking sleepily as her eyes adjusted to the sudden light. She barely had time to register Sun Jin's figure before a sharp, stinging pain erupted across her face. Sun Jin had slapped her hard, the force of the blow sending her sprawling onto the bed.

"You!" Sun Jin spat, her voice trembling with fury. "How dare you lay claim to him? You're nothing but a mortal!"

Yang Mi, still disoriented from the blow, tried to cover herself with the blanket, her heart pounding in terror. "Who... who are you?" she managed to whisper, her voice shaking.

Sun Jin's eyes blazed as she stepped closer, grabbing Yang Mi by the wrist and yanking her off the bed with brutal force. "Who am I? I am the woman who truly loves Bai Jue! I am the one he should be with, not you!" She flung Yang Mi to the ground, her rage uncontained.

Yang Mi gasped as she hit the floor, her body trembling from the pain and shock. Tears welled in her eyes as she tried to crawl away, her mind racing. Why is this happening?

Before Sun Jin could strike again, Da Yi, having recovered from her earlier blow, rushed into the room, his voice pleading. "Lady Sun Jin, please! You cannot—"

Sun Jin whirled on him, her eyes filled with contempt. "You dare speak to me after what I've done for this household?" she sneered. "You are nothing!" With a vicious gesture, she ordered her guard, Lan Er, to strike him.

Lan Er hesitated for a moment, her loyalty to her mistress warring with her discomfort at the scene unfolding. But ultimately, she obeyed. With a swift motion, she delivered a sharp blow to Da Yi, sending him crashing into the wall. He slumped to the floor, dazed and bleeding.
