CHAPTER 17: FATED ENEMIES

Both of them stood facing each other. The pressure was extraordinary, and the fear was enveloping the multitude. The fire in their eyes was persuading them to fight now itself. However, they restrained.

"Let's meet soon", said Suryavarma.

"Same," said Yadav.

Yadav walked past Suryavarma to Kyou. And both of them walked away from the multitude.

Suryavarma also walked away with excitement in his eyes to confront Yadav on the fated day.

"Surya where were you?," asked Narendravarma.

"I was in the market father," said Surya.

"I think our time is approaching to execute it. I am going to bring him down today," declared Narendra.

"So today is the day we do it huh?" asked Surya.

"I have heard his name several times when I was a prince. My father was also not able to say his name with confidence. Because he was the man who gave our kingdom the first defeat," said Narendra.

"Rei Wangsen, I have heard that name from our family book. The man was an exiled warrior from Shakaya," said Surya.

"The story goes back to the time when my father was the king. Our kingdom was warring with the Shakyas. The sky was red, the vultures were flying over the 300,000 army that we had and the 20,00 they had. Our army defeated 19,000 of them except that one man. I never thought that I might see something that extreme," said Narendra.

30 years back. During the reign of Veervarma Licchavi.

"Father a man is standing amongst those corpses," said Narendra.

"It seems like he is the sole survivor, we have 100,00 people left. It was truly a great war. Let that man live and proclaim what he saw on the battlefield," said Veera.

The man didn't have any weapons or armour. He was observing the retreating army.

The king Veeravarma was said to have a sixth sense. The sense of hostility.

He could sense hostility from any person.

While retreating he felt that certain evil storm behind him.

The storm was not only hostile, it had despair and the rage to slash every person.

He thought that it was just a strange feeling and ignored it.

But that was his greatest mistake. He never knew that one sign of ignorance would cost him 99,900 of soldiers.

"King there is a problem there is a devil here. An evil!!!!!!", shouted a man with pure fear.

The king climbed on his horse and checked back with his binoculars.

The man was running behind them.

The man was chasing the fast running horses. The dust that was rising due to his chase was equivalent to an army of 400,000.

The king got terrified. He felt something wasn't right about that one man.

The way he only stood there in the field, covered with blood, amidst the corpses and flying vultures.

The king ordered to increase the speed. However, it was futile.

"King save me!!!!! He caught my horse by the neck!!!!" shouted a man and cried with fear.

The king turned back again. He had never seen something so cruel in his life.

The man was running while dragging the horse by catching on to it neck. His eyes had a fire that was ready to burn the whole group. The fire was flourishing and spreading within him. With his full force, he threw the horse by holding on to his neck to the front. The horse flew and hit the others. That one hit made the whole rear guard of the army fall.
