CHAPTER 20: THE REAPER

"Were we destined to end like this our king?? Was it our fate all along?", said one of the soldiers.

The king wasn't able to utter a word from his mouth. His mouth was shaking, and his whole legs were trembling.

All of the 10,000 soldiers fell to the ground on their knees. They were trembling on their knees. The man's every step made the Earth tremble.

"Is it the true reaper", each soldier thought.

The sky was red, with clouds accumulated over the battlefield—each of those in the colour of blood.

The soldiers couldn't comprehend the fact that their whole army was wiped out by a single person.

The man walked between the soldiers who were on the ground and lost their will to fight.

The man came and stood before the king. The pressure of the man was unbearable. The king also fell on his knees and felt like he was being suffocated with a rope.

"If you have fought till your death I might have respected you. Cowards don't deserve respect," declared the man.

"My name is Rei Wangsen. Don't appear before me again," said the man.

That time thunder struck the whole battlefield. It shook the ground.

The man drew his sword and stabbed the King's knees. The sword penetrated onto the ground. The King cried out of pain, he was on his knees on the ground, his right knee locked with a sword.

The man walked away and disappeared along the dust.

A downpour occurred after the whole incident. The army was draped in the rain.

The king's head was down, he was looking at his stabbed knee and crying. The blood was gushing out of his knees.

The rest of the soldiers couldn't move.

AT PRESENT...

"Father, you don't have to die like that. Because I will be the one to end him!!!", shouted Suryavarma.

He couldn't restrain his rage. Narendravarma had seen his son like this for the first time.

Surya fell on his knees and held his father's legs. He said," I, Suryavarma Licchavi, the future king of Licchavi Kingdom, thy son. Take the vow to bring down our family's greatest humiliator and the killer of our greatest warriors".

He stood up and headed out of the building. Narendra stood there in awe.

But that time he saw everything. He saw the warrior's aura enveloping his son. The aura that only envelops the ones who the heavens want to win. That aura that signified a God was all over his son as he marched forward.
