Chapter 62: The Joker

"Birdcage!"

In a moment of intense anger, Doflamingo unleashed countless thin threads from his palm towards the sky.

These threads reached a certain height before dispersing, descending in all directions like solid steel needles, embedding themselves deep into the edges of the Royal Castle Island.

Within a few seconds, Prince's Castle was entirely covered by a massive birdcage.

On the rooftop, Law looked at this awe-inspiring scene with a pale face, his lips trembling.

He was greatly haunted by the birdcage made of threads.

Many years ago, when Law was still a child, he had witnessed Doflamingo using this technique on a certain island.

Once the birdcage formed, the threads embedded at the edges of the island would steadily contract towards the center.

These threads were extremely tough, even sword strikes couldn't cut them.

And no one could stop the threads from converging.

Those trapped inside the birdcage could only watch as the cage gradually tightened, witnessing the people around them, whether they knew them or not, being shredded into pieces by the sharp threads.

In the end, only piles of torn bodies remained on the island.

Law would never forget those scenes.

It was truly hell on earth.

"Rorschach...!" Law gripped the rooftop tightly, his voice trembling with fear as he shouted.

"We must stop it! We can't let the cage close, or everyone will die!"

As he spoke, he gritted his teeth, trying with all his might to stand up, attempting to move forward.

His steps were shaky, and he didn't notice the severed arm that fell onto the rooftop, while a glowing ring appeared around the fingers of his remaining left hand.

"ROOM!"

A hemispherical dome appeared, but it only extended less than five meters.

His energy was completely exhausted.

After a series of fierce battles, in addition to losing his arm, Law's body was on the verge of collapse.

He disappeared from his spot, and when he reappeared, he had left the rooftop.

But the range of his surgery field was too small, and Law couldn't reach Doflamingo; he only managed to teleport outside the rooftop, falling to the ground with a loud thud, his face covered in blood.

"Fufufufu."

Doflamingo looked at this pathetic scene and couldn't help but press his hand against his forehead, laughing in a strange voice.

"Fufufufu! Are you still joking, Law?"

"Is this funny?"

A cold voice sounded near his ear.

Doflamingo looked down, where Rorschach stood at the bottom of the pit, a wide grin on his face.

"Of course it's funny. Before this cage fully closes, this dark comedy before death should be amusing, right?"

Doflamingo spread his arms and said, "You guys, who know nothing about the cruelty of the sea, who don't respect the strong, I will teach you a lesson, the final lesson of your lives!"

"Before death comes slowly, enjoy the collapse and despair without limits!"

Rorschach surged out of the pit, standing in front of Doflamingo, showing no fear or despair as Doflamingo had anticipated.

Instead, a sarcastic expression appeared on his face, unhidden.

"So, if your comrades, who you consider family, die, will you be as happy as this? You're truly a clown."

"What did you say?" Doflamingo's voice turned chillingly cold.

Rorschach moved, and the sand and stones around him flew as the wind gusted powerfully.

"How did it feel when you killed your father and brother?"

"Shut up!"

"How does loneliness feel?"

"Shut up!"

"How did it feel to fall from the rank of a god to become just an ordinary, worthless human?"

"You brat! I'll kill you now!"

Doflamingo spread his fingers, and the ground beneath them became a sea of white threads.

A wave of white threads surged towards Rorschach.

Rorschach gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with blood, as small sparks of electricity appeared on his body, and a stormy aura emanated from him. Then he stomped hard on the flowing threads, leaving a straight shadow towards Doflamingo.

He roared like thunder:

"So, your greatest power is scaring us with death?"

"Do you think I'm afraid of death?"

"I wasn't afraid in my past life, I wasn't afraid four years ago, and not a year ago!"

"Death is nothing!"

A violent aura burst forth from Rorschach, transforming him into a fierce beast.

His right leg, covered in scales, delivered a powerful kick.

"Storm Kick! Air Slash!"

A long, arcing slash shot towards Doflamingo's neck.

Rorschach's massive body followed, clenching a huge fist and punching the air towards Doflamingo's head.

"The ignorant fear nothing, you naive child!"

Doflamingo remained in place as white threads rose from the ground in front of him, forming sharp claws.

The thread claws easily broke the air slash.

White threads surged towards Rorschach's body.

"Iron Pistol Punch!"

Rorschach ignored the threads heading towards him, increasing the speed of his massive fist, smashing down on one of the white thread claws, aiming towards Doflamingo's head.

Doflamingo extended his left hand, a dark black color of "Haki" energy appeared on it, and he aimed it at Rorschach's fist.

Boom!

The air exploded from the impact, and Rorschach let out a faint groan, feeling as if his massive fist had hit a steel wall.

A force strong enough to send Megions flying with a single strike didn't push Doflamingo back; instead, Rorschach's leg muscles and scales were shattered by a mere push from Doflamingo.

In contrast, Doflamingo was only momentarily stopped.

With a brief pause, Doflamingo delivered a kick with his Haki-covered foot towards Rorschach's abdomen.

Boom!

Rorschach's massive body was sent flying as if it were a bowling ball, leaving white air waves in its wake.

Doflamingo spread his fingers, delivering a strike forward.

"A mere weakling who can't even control Haki, only capable of empty words!"

"A Thousand Arrows Piercing the Heart! Feather Threads!"

A wave of Haki-covered sharp threads rose from the white ground, like giant wings piercing through the air, heading towards Rorschach's airborne body, quickly piercing through him.

Rorschach's body was riddled with threads, and blood gushed out like falling raindrops.

The scales covering his body were penetrated.

But those Haki-covered threads couldn't pierce his bones.

Even after some threads penetrated his internal organs, he didn't die immediately.

The immense vitality of the mythical fruit type had turned him into an unkillable beast in a short time.

"Rorschach!"

Law's eyes widened, and he dug his left hand into the ground, trying to help, but he was powerless.

Weakness, why am I so weak?

The culprit who killed Mr. Rosinante, Doflamingo, is right in front of me!

But I can only sit here and watch.

Watch my comrade being brutally killed!

"Kuso!"
