On the winding stone path behind the fortress, two figures walked leisurely. Due to the significant difference in height, Rorschach adjusted his pace slightly to avoid leaving the short-legged girl by his side struggling to keep up.
Rorschach glanced sideways, observing the girl beside him.
Although he referred to her as "short-legged," Hibari had actually grown taller than 1.7 meters, making her far from short. Her once chubby, baby-faced features had gradually slimmed into a more defined and delicate oval face after half a year of physical training.
Perhaps it was the result of the Navy headquarters' excellent nutrition, but the young girl had matured significantly. Her blue-and-white blouse strained against the curves of her figure, forming faint creases. Her fair arms, unblemished by the sun, gleamed like milk or polished ivory, their delicate skin evoking thoughts of silk or cream.
Standing so close, her faint fragrance lingered in the air, stirring subtle thoughts in the boy's mind.
Perhaps sensing Rorschach's furtive glances, Hibari's ears turned a faint shade of red. Her gaze remained fixed on the uneven stones ahead as though feigning ignorance.
"Ahem, Hibari, did you finish Granny Tsuru's strategic courses early today?" Rorschach cleared his throat, trying to break the awkward silence with casual conversation.
Typically, Hibari wouldn't come looking for him until after five in the evening.
"I didn't go to Granny Tsuru's today. She went out to sea with Sister Kongque, so there weren't any lessons scheduled. I've got the day off," Hibari replied softly, brushing a stray strand of hair away from her cheek.
"Wait, what's that rifle on your back? Are you planning to learn sniping?" Rorschach asked in surprise, only now noticing the long, one-meter flintlock rifle strapped to Hibari's back.
At his words, a smile spread across Hibari's face. She stopped, unstrapped the rifle, and handed it to Luo Xia.
"Rorschach, I thought you'd notice right away! Here, take a look. This is a weapon Uncle Borsalino brought for me from Dr. Vegapunk."
"A weapon from Dr. Vegapunk?" Rorschach's eyes lit up as he eagerly examined the rifle. Its design was far more refined than the standard long-barreled flintlocks used in training.
The rifle was about a meter long, equipped with a precision scope nearly 40 centimeters in length. Peering through the scope, Luo Xia found that objects even a kilometer away appeared crystal clear. Combined with Observation Haki, this weapon could easily lock onto distant targets with pinpoint accuracy.
However, Rorschach's inspection revealed no immediate differences between this rifle and the standard training models used by the Navy.
"Could it be a laser rifle?" He wondered aloud, recalling the scene of the Pacifista robots firing their explosive laser beams.
If it was a laser weapon, this gun would be extraordinary.
"No, Uncle Borsalino said this is a 'Gun of Peace.' It fires a special type of bullet that transforms an enemy's ammunition into flowers," Hibari explained with a soft giggle, retrieving a bullet from her pouch and handing it to Rorschach.
"Flower bullets? What's the point of that..." Rorschach muttered, unimpressed. Still, he loaded the seemingly ordinary bullet into the rifle and fired it casually at the fortress wall to his right.
"Bang."
With a faint sound, a shallow dent appeared on the wall. A few seconds later, something extraordinary happened. From the small dent, a vine sprouted and rapidly grew, extending nearly half a meter in just a few breaths, its surface adorned with pink blossoms.
"Wow, amazing! These flowers are so beautiful!" Hibari exclaimed, stepping closer to pluck one of the pink blossoms for a closer look.
"What kind of principle is this? Is it based on Devil Fruit technology, or does the bullet contain some sort of unique plant seeds?" Rorschach mused, marveling at the bizarre phenomenon. The technological advancements of this world often seemed boundless, limited only by imagination.
If given a chance, he'd love to visit Dr. Vegapunk with Borsalino. It would undoubtedly be an enlightening experience.
As they walked further, the pair quickly traversed the massive Marineford fortress and arrived at Akainu's residence.
The Akainu household remained unchanged, with two pavilions—one large and one small—flanking a central courtyard that featured a large round table. Flowering plants grew neatly around the yard, showing clear signs of attentive care.
Upon entering the yard, Hibari's demeanor shifted slightly, her expression tinged with unease.
Rorschach immediately understood the reason for her uneasiness.
Since the incident at Sabaody Archipelago, Hibari had been training harder than ever to keep up with him and Luo. Determined and resilient, she had sought out talented female officers like Granny Tsuru to learn combat strategies and improve her skills.
However, despite her efforts, Hibari was still a girl. Physiologically, her growth couldn't match that of Luo Xia's monstrous physique, which had developed to the equivalent strength of ten Drakes.
Still, when Hibari had witnessed Luo Xia using his unique method of lightning-enhanced training on the marine recruits, she'd mustered the courage to ask him to train her the same way.
At first, Rorschach had refused outright.
The pain caused by the electrical currents breaking down muscle tissue was unimaginable to those who hadn't experienced it firsthand.
For example, the heart shock technique he excelled at.
Aside from Lwa, the other elite warriors, including Bepo and Grus, had all experienced the terrifying effects—paralysis, distorted expressions, and even loss of control over their bodily functions.
This was also why those elite marines now feared Rorschach more than they did Zefa.
Eventually, unable to withstand the young girl's repeated requests, Rorschach reluctantly agreed.
But their first attempt went terribly wrong.
After that incident, the young girl disappeared for an entire week, avoiding Rorschach entirely.
Noticing that Rorschach was lost in thought, the blush on Hibari's face deepened.
"Lwa… Brother Rorschach, what are you thinking about? Hurry up… if we finish quickly, we can still catch Uncle Deno's lunch…"
"Uh, cough, okay, as long as you're ready, I can start anytime," Rorschach replied awkwardly, snapping out of his daze.
Hibari pursed her lips and walked shyly towards the two-story cottage on the left.
"To… my room."
Rorschach swallowed hard, feeling a bit guilty as he glanced around nervously.
If anyone reported this to Akainu, he might end up with a headful of magma again.
Hunched over, he followed Hibari into her small room, which was covered with nautical charts.
When Rorschach noticed a rainproof mat spread near the bathroom door, his mind froze for a moment.
Hibari's face was flushed, and steam seemed to rise from her head as she buried her face in her chest, which was beginning to take shape. Her petite figure trembled slightly as she knelt on the pink rainproof mat, her back to Rorschach .
"I… I'm ready, Brother Rorschach. You can start now."
"Clearly, you've prepared well…" Rorschach muttered, feeling his throat dry as he stepped closer, the tips of his fingers crackling with silvery arcs of electricity.
A faint sizzling sound filled the air, making Hibari shiver in fear as her shoulders twitched.
"I'm about to begin. Brace yourself; it might hurt a little."
"Mm, go ahead. I… I need to get stronger. I can't hold Brother Rorschach back."
Her face turned bright red, but her eyes showed determination.
Taking a deep breath, she clenched her fists, forcing herself to remain calm.
"Zap."
A thin arc of electricity shot from Rorschach's fingertip and entered her back.
The arc split into two, then into four, becoming finer and finer.
Eventually, it formed a faintly glowing electric net that enveloped Hibari's entire body, covering every muscle and fiber.
As the electric net took shape, Hibari couldn't help but let out a trembling moan, her lips slightly parted.
A tingling sensation spread throughout her body, as though every cell was soaking in a warm spring. She felt an overwhelming sense of relaxation, almost to the point of falling asleep.
On the other side, Rorschach's face was also flushed.
This electric current was under his control.
The precise and thorough coverage made him feel as if he were seeing through the young girl, inside and out.
What made it worse was the amplification of his own senses at that moment.
He could even sense the elasticity of Hibari's tender skin.
Warm liquid seemed to be gathering in his nostrils.
No!
This is not good.
If he became a "nosebleed warrior," the situation would be even more embarrassing.
"Sorry, Hibari… but I need to finish this quickly."
Rorschach discreetly wiped the sweat from his brow and increased the intensity of the electric current at his fingertips.
"Ah~."
Just as she was enjoying the spa-like sensation, Hibari suddenly felt the electric power intensify, her body heating up as if it were a furnace.
The electric stimulation caused her to sweat profusely.
Her soaked clothes clung tightly to her graceful curves.
In the small room, wisps of white steam rose into the air.
The steam carried a faint, alluring fragrance.
After about ten seconds, Rorschach withdrew the electric arcs from his fingertips and, covering his nose, hurriedly bolted out of Hibari's small room, closing the door behind him.
Inside the room, Hibari lay weakly on the pink rainproof mat near the bathroom door, sprawled on the ground, breathing heavily with a dazed expression.
Every cell in her body had been thoroughly stimulated by the electric current, leaving her feeling sore and powerless.
Her pretty face was completely flushed, resembling a ripe red apple.
As Rorschach hurried down the stairs, he noticed a suspicious figure standing sneakily outside Akainu's courtyard gate, peering inside. The sight startled him.
"Who's there?"
