Randy is missing

AUTHOR'S POV

Maya took a deep breath before answering. "We can gather evidence and witnesses that we'll use to prosecute Daniel. Then, we can report him to the authorities."

Aisha nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea, Randy. This way, we can end Daniel's terror without anyone getting hurt."

Randy seemed to think for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright. We'll do that. But I still won't let him hurt you again, Aisha."

Aisha smiled weakly. "Thank you, Randy. I know you always protect me."

After hearing Aisha's story, Randy still felt something bothering him. "Oh, yes... Aisha, why did you come home late from campus tonight and choose to walk through that deserted road towards the empty house?" Randy asked, trying to seek clarity.

Aisha sighed softly before answering. "I came home late tonight because there was suddenly an additional assignment from campus that had to be completed today. Actually, my best friend, Dinda, had offered to take me home, but I refused because our houses aren't in the same direction and I didn't want to trouble Diana."

Randy felt worried and a bit angry. "Why did you have to take that road? You should have called a taxi, Aisha."

"I did call a taxi, Ran, but after waiting for a long time, it never came. Meanwhile, the campus was already very quiet," Aisha replied, her voice full of regret.

"So, why didn't you call me or your mother to pick you up?" I asked again, trying to hold back my frustration.

Aisha looked at me with teary eyes. "Did you forget that you had told me you were working overtime today? I didn't want to bother you. And for mom, I didn't want to trouble her because I know she must be very tired."

Randy lowered his head, feeling guilty for not being there for her. "Aisha, you know we'll always be there for you, no matter how busy or tired we are."

"If only I had stayed on campus, maybe this wouldn't have happened," Aisha whispered, her tears starting to flow again. "I'm so stupid."

Maya immediately hugged Aisha tightly. "Don't say that, Aisha. This is not your fault. You're not to blame for what happened. The one who's wrong is Daniel who did this to you."

Randy nodded in agreement. "Auntie is right, Aisha. You're not stupid. You were just trapped in a very difficult situation. We'll fight this together."

Aisha heaved a heavy sigh and tried to smile, albeit weakly. "Thank you, Randy. Thank you, Mom. I don't know what would happen without you."

After a while, seeing that Aisha's condition was starting to calm down, Randy felt it was time to say goodbye and finish his pending work. He knew that tomorrow would be a long day and he wanted to make sure everything was in order so he could focus on taking care of Aisha. Randy carefully approached Aisha's bed.

"Aisha, I have to go home now," Randy said in a low voice. "I need to finish some pending work. But don't worry, tomorrow I'll take a day off and come back here to stay with you."

Aisha nodded slowly, her eyes showing deep gratitude. "Thank you, Randy. I understand. Don't worry about me."

Maya, who was still sitting beside Aisha, looked at Randy with a gentle smile. "Thank you, Randy. You've helped us a lot."

Randy nodded and tried to smile. "I'll come very early tomorrow. If anything happens, please call me right away, okay?"

Aisha held Randy's hand for a moment. "Be careful on your way home, Randy. Thank you for being here for me."

Randy gently stroked Aisha's hand. "You get plenty of rest, okay? We'll get through this together."

After saying goodbye, Randy left the hospital with a slightly calmer heart. Even so, his mind was still filled with worry and determination to seek justice for Aisha. He knew that tonight he had to finish his work as quickly as possible so he could focus on Aisha tomorrow.

When he arrived home, Randy felt his mind was in chaos. The images of what happened to Aisha kept haunting him. He sat in the living room, trying to calm himself, but feelings of anger and sadness increasingly overwhelmed him. He cried and wrung his hands, imagining how Daniel had touched Aisha's body. A deep feeling of anger emerged, and he thought that prison wouldn't be enough to punish Daniel. Randy knew that Daniel's father had the power to buy the law.

With firm resolve, Randy decided to settle the score with Daniel that very night. He immediately stood up and headed for the door, ready to leave his house. However, before he could open the door, his mother, Victoria, called him from the living room.

"Randy, where are you going so late at night?" Lastri asked in a gentle but worried voice.

Randy paused for a moment, trying to control his emotions. "Mom, I have to go meet a friend. There's an important matter that can't be delayed," he answered briefly.

His mother frowned, seeing her son's determined expression. "Why not wait until tomorrow morning? It's already late at night, son. It's dangerous to go out now."

Randy shook his head firmly, rejecting his mother's suggestion. "Mom, I have to go now. This is very important. I can't wait until tomorrow."

Victoria sighed, knowing well her son's stubborn nature. "Alright, then. But be careful on the road, okay? And don't forget to let me know if anything happens."

Randy looked at his mother for a moment, feeling a bit guilty for having to leave in this situation. "Yes, Mom. I'll be careful. Thank you."

With that, Randy opened the door and stepped out, his resolve growing stronger. He knew that this wasn't a wise action, but the anger and desire for revenge were too strong to ignore.

His mother, still standing at the door, watched Randy leave with a heavy heart. "God, protect my child," she whispered softly, hoping Randy would return safely.

The next day, Aisha felt restless because until 11 AM, Randy still hadn't come to the hospital to see her. Maya, seeing her daughter's anxiety, tried to calm her down.

"Maybe Randy has some work that he can't leave. Have you tried calling Randy?" Maya asked in a gentle voice.

Aisha let out a long sigh. "Randy usually never breaks his promises, Mom. I've been trying to contact him, but his number is not active. I'm very worried."

Maya gently rubbed Aisha's back. "Try to be patient, maybe he's on his way. There must be a reason why he hasn't come yet."

Suddenly, the sound of Aisha's ringing phone broke the silence. Aisha quickly answered the phone, hoping it was Randy calling. However, it turned out to be Victoria, Randy's mother, on the other end.

"Aisha, do you know where Randy is now?" Victoria asked in an anxious tone.

Aisha was surprised to hear the question. "No, Auntie. I'm also waiting for news from Randy. He promised yesterday to accompany me at the hospital today, but there's been no word from him so far."

Victoria sounded increasingly worried. "Oh, God. So you also don't know where Randy is? We at home haven't been able to contact him since last night either."
