She could not randomly explore John's room.
Alice could only sit in front of the TV, aimlessly switched through dozens of channels. The landline at his house rang.
But Alice dared not answer and let it ring for a long time. After a moment, it was her own phone ringing, and she quickly answered the phone.
His voice was deep and sounded annoyed, "Where are you?"
"At your place, of course."
Suddenly, it seemed the annoyance vanished, "Why didn't you answer the phone just now?"
"I thought it might be a call for you, so I didn't dare answer." Alice answered honestly, "Why didn't you call my mobile?"
"I thought you could see the caller ID on the landline." John's tone was teasing.
Alice looked at the caller ID guiltily. The last three digits were familiar to her.
"Sleep in the room on the right upstairs, everything is new." He told her, "I probably won't be back, I'll be quite late tonight."
