Serena jolted upright as a loud bang echoed through the room. Her heart pounded as she turned to see Ivy standing by the bathroom door, her fist still pressed against it.
“Oh, did I wake you?” Ivy asked, her tone dripping with false innocence, though the smirk on her face made it clear she’d done it on purpose. “Well, since you’re up, you might as well follow me to the training floors.”
Serena groggily blinked at her, yawned, then flopped back onto the bed.
“I forgot how comfortable beds are,” she mumbled to herself, already sinking into the warmth of the sheets.
Then came a sharp scream.
“Ah! A roach!” Ivy’s voice rang out in exaggerated panic.
Serena cracked one eye open just in time to catch Ivy stealing a glance at her.
“Oh wait,” Ivy said flatly. “Just a pen cap.”
Serena groaned, rubbing her temples. “Ivy, are you going to keep this up until I agree to train?”
Ivy grinned. “Oh, so you want to train? That’s a great idea! Let’s go!”
