FLASHBACK (THE BEGINNING)

The clock struck 12 a.m. Tim was awakened by the notification sound on his phone. His phone's brightness lit up the room. Grabbing his phone, Tim slid back into his blanket.

The text on his phone reads, "HBD." Tim replies with a thank you and goes back to sleep.

A common man's response to someone wishing them well is this. But he's a celebrity, and Tim, without taking a look at the name, texted back. How did he know it had to be someone close? How?

Well, it was his personal account on the 'Friend Me' app, and only his gang knew about it. This answers the doubt that it must have been someone close.

Nope. It is not that simple. Because Tim was bold enough to respond without verifying who it was, his fate is writing a brand new chapter.

The sun is up now. Text messages are flooding Tim's phone. It is Tim's birthday today. He sets his phone to silent. Someone knocks on his door.

'Happy Birthday to you,' his family wishes him with a small cupcake and a candle on top.

This is a family ritual that they perform on each other's birthdays, followed by merit making. Tim and his family offer merit to the monks, who bless him with a happy and prosperous life.

Before they leave, the monk advises Tim to be aware of the people around him, as he will likely cross paths with his better half.

His family teases him but he didn't react much to it. He goes back to his room. P'Justin wishes him on the phone.

Tim sends a single text message of gratitude to everyone who has wished him well. While replying to others, he recalls texting someone around midnight.

"Who texted me?" Tim wonders as he searches for it.

His mother called for him before he could find it. They have guests at their home. Tim's grandparents came over. His grandparents, Thailand's wealthiest hoteliers, are frequently on the go.

Even though they have little to no time to spend with loved ones, they make time for the apple of their eyes, Tim.
