The two of them—Uncle Ray and Lexius—fought fiercely, and I, the victim of Uncle Ray and Lex's childishness, only sighed before getting off the bed. Out of nowhere, I was magically in between them.
"If you're still attacking each other, then I'll sue you if anything happens to me," I said, instantly making Uncle Ray wide-eyed.
His amber eyes seemed to flash as Windy continued to rant in my head.
"He's our mate, Ioris—your uncle," she said, and I couldn't believe it even though I suspected the same thing.
"Didn't I reject him? We should have gotten another mate, Windy." I still couldn't accept it, remembering how we parted six months ago, and the pain in my heart was still there with a gaping wound that hadn't healed yet.
No. Uncle Ray wasn't at fault, it was me who didn't deserve him.
