The voice

A melodic, gentle, calming voice of a young woman fills my ears.

The dream, hinders my hearing stopping me from discerning any of the words.

I concentrate on the voice making it almost painful, but I finally get some of her words out.

"Jakai, my sweet son....1 week from now, the once empty stars will shine brightly...and turn on humanity"

The cryptic message confuses me my eyebrows furrow, as I scratch my puffy hair. She speaks again, the next words making me shudder and open my eyes wide in.....fear.

"The name of if, is [Star Eyes]" the odd but familiar name, seeps into my head.

'What a sad name...but I've said that last night, there was a pattern of star before they disappeared tonight, they looked like eyes but more alien like'

I can only feel a sense of hidden information, kept from me...therefore after the dream ends I get flashed by the morning reddish sun.

My eyes close fast the bright light still filling my eyelids. As I look away to my left, I open my eyes. I adjust to the dark, and light filled forest my dad...sleeping on the ground still not awake.

I yawn from boredom, the thought of waking him up crosses my mind. But I know that every adult hates getting woken up early from anything.

I focus back to some of the most interesting things here, that skeleton alien that suddenly attacked and walked away from me. The haunting drawings of the same creature, and the dream that ties to last night's star pattern.

Everything happened so suddenly, and very unexpectedly my mind might overload due to how tired I was. I start doing pushup, but.....nothing hurt not even my muscles strained.

Yesterday there was atleast some resistance so....

'Why the hell are pushups so dang easy?'

I finish them with ease, and move to the other workouts...I save running for after breakfast.

My dad finally wakes up after I finish squats, he looks around for his glasses. I look at his disheveled appearance, eyes with dark circles under them, his hair all flattened, and a much more skinny face.

"Oh....hey dad, good morning!"

He looks up, as he squints his eyes in my direction. "Son....wai...t.....have you seen..my glasses?"

His slow talking from just waking up distracts me for a moment, then I open my eyes and look around.

I look behind him and see a pair of grey clear glasses on the ground.

'Wow....he's blind, almost literally and metaphorically' I laugh at my own thought, as I point in the direction of his glasses.

I flex my muscles, slightly toned but also in perfect condition.

"Son...I see...you might have finished the first step." I look at him, confused..

"Dad.? What do you mean....first step?" He walks up to me, and raises his hands clenching into fists..his right hand in front of his face, and left near his stomach

"Now it's time....for your training jakai!"
