chapter 30

The person on Aaron's suspect list was Christiana; she seemed the most suspicious in this story.

"Kris, what do you think about this? What do you have to say about it?"

"It's obvious: Christiana is the plotter in this situation."

It seemed that Christiana was scheming, but the cute boy didn't know that.

He was too naive to see through her manipulations. Christiana was plotting to take his husband away from him. All this was painfully clear to Aaron and Kris.

For Aaron, the challenge was how to tell the little cutie that his husband's best friend was planning to replace him and take his husband's place.

It was heartbreaking. Such a sweet boy should never have to be put in a situation like this.

Aaron couldn't help but wonder if the little cutie's husband had asked people to kidnap him and throw him here in the woods.

Aaron blinked twice, biting his lip, deep in thought.

Maybe it was Christiana who was manipulating the cute husband.

And what about the cute husband? Was he really such a fool that he couldn't see that this woman was in love with him and wanted to tear him away from the cute boy? Kris thought,

What a complete idiot. He doesn't deserve someone so sweet. But then again, who was Aaron to judge?

Aaron found himself at a loss for words. The pressing question in his mind was: was this little cutie going to stay in the woods all alone? Aaron's eyes sparkled with sadness as he patted the boy, offering a silent plea for comfort.

He turned to Kris, his eyes brimming with unspoken words, though he said nothing aloud. Kris understood the meaning behind his gaze.

Kris sighed reluctantly, Why am I even getting involved in this mess? It's not my problem, yet here I am, feeling for this kid. It was a tough life he couldn't have,

but it seemed that he was bringing problems upon himself.

However, what could he do when his senirips, who seemed so kind and concerned about this little orange-haired boy, was the one causing all this trouble?

Aaron rubbed his eyes, searching for the right words. "Whatever, fine, I understand he can't come stay with us."

All the while, during this brief interaction, the little cutie began to cry again, his nose sniffing repeatedly. Aaron noticed immediately.

"Oh dear, why are you crying again?" he asked, his heart aching. Was the boy that sad?

Did the pain in his heart weigh so heavily that he was grieving like this? Aaron hugged him tighter.

The boy clung to Aaron, his grip tightening. "It's just… the way you talked about my husband," he mumbled through his tears.

Kris thought, This is just great. Now Aaron's going to comfort him, and I'll be left standing here like a fool."It's so heart-wrenching; I couldn't help it,"

Listening to the boy,

Aaron couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. It was a strange mix of emotions.

He was there trying to comfort the boy, but it seemed his little chat with Kris only made the cutie cry harder. Kris was starting to feel annoyed.

"Isn't it allowed for me to talk to my senirips?" he thought. The boy was starting to get on his nerves.

Kris reflected, Why do I even care? This is turning into a full-blown soap opera, and I'm just a spectator.

Truthfully, he was growing closer to his senirips, and his senirips was over there trying to be the boy's savior. But the more he thought about it, the more irritated he became.
