Aaron opened his eyes with a snap. What kind of dream was that? He couldn't believe it. He wasn't such a slutty Senirps. All that must have been just some other demon possessing him, manipulating his mind, his heart, trying to make him think of dirty things about his husband while he dreamed about it.
Aaron brushed his hair back and got up from the bed, reluctant to look at himself.
Even his eyes did not trail below as he went to the bathroom.
A good freshen-up was what he needed.
The water ran down Aaron's skin. That was nice. The water was so cold, and the heat from a moment ago was all gone.
With the last bit of water wiped off his skin by the towel, Aaron dressed himself, thinking seeing the cute Ethan is what he needs right now.
...
Aaron stood at the front of Ethan's apartment building.
He took a deep sigh. It was very hard getting Kris' men off his back, but he succeeded.
The elevator made a clink, and Aaron went in.
Not long after, he stood before Ethan's door. After a moment, the door opened. Ethan saw Aaron. At first, he appeared nervous as always before he said Aaron should come in.
"Um, Aaron, what are you doing here? You caught me unexpected. I wasn't expecting you... does Kris know you are here?"
Aaron just smiled and shrugged off Ethan's questions, then he walked into the house, taking Ethan along with him, and they sat on the soft furniture.
"I just needed a break... I don't know, but my sister-in-law is weird. I don't like that place much without Kris being with me."
"Huh. You mean Anabel? What did she do?"
Ethan blinked with his mouth agape as Aaron complained about Lady Anabel to him.
"I just don't know, Ethan. She just hates me, and I don't know the reason for it. Do you know that all the time her words hurt me? I really don't know what to do about this."
Aaron's voice came out as a sniffle. Before Anabel, he was all calm and showed a tough side, like nothing could get through him.
But in front of a cute brother, he couldn't help but share all his pains in his heart.
Ethan moved and held Aaron in a hug. He shouldn't cry. Somehow in relationships, people tend to get hurt a lot just like he was hurt. Aaron was lucky, he shouldn't cry about this. After all, it wasn't his husband that hurt him, it was just the talk of an outsider that was somehow related to his husband by blood.
"Don't cry, Aaron... I don't like seeing you cry. If you cry, I'll want to cry too. Please look at me, and please don't cry."
Aaron, from Ethan's embrace, wiped away his nose and tears.
Ethan was so cute. His words and effort were really trying to calm him down, and it seemed to be working. He was almost calm at the moment.
"It's alright, Ethan. I won't be sad anymore. I promise I won't cry for any random person that hurts me...
Hahaha, Ethan, you are so cute at the moment," Aaron said, and changed the topic with a wide beam on his face.
Ethan's face flushed at Aaron's comment. Aaron always didn't spare a chance to tease him. His face grew more red under Aaron's gaze.
Aaron chuckled, lastly taking a cup of tea from the table, sipping it slowly like he wasn't the one sad and crying a moment ago.
Ethan blinked twice and stared at Aaron. "Why do you always do that?" he couldn't help but ask.
Aaron raised his brows. "Huh?" He didn't understand.
Ethan pointed at the cup in Aaron's hand. "I mean, every time you come here, you always drink my tea... I mean, you always drink from the cup on the table."
Aaron stared at Ethan's eyes, which looked like a sad puppy whose favorite toy had been taken away from him.
He smiled at Ethan and said, "Oh, then why do you always keep a cup of tea here every time I come?" Aaron couldn't help but tease the cute little Senirps.
Ethan's cheeks grew more red. His eyes shifted, and he refuted Aaron's words with slight nervousness. "I... don't... I didn't... I mean, it's just a coincidence."
Aaron burst into laughter at Ethan's reply. It was very funny. In just seconds, Ethan had made several different expressions, and they were all cute.
He sighed and ruffled Ethan's hair, then said, "You are too cute. Can you stop being cute?" He took the last sip of his tea, not sparing a glance at Ethan, who was boiling like a hot shrimp.
If Aaron saw it, he would have loved to tease him more.
But sadly, he didn't see it.
"You got food? I'm so hungry... I ate nothing before coming."
Ethan was caught by surprise by Aaron's sudden statement, and he immediately reacted, "Oh, don't worry, I'll go get food for you."
He spared no chance for Aaron to respond. Before he could look, Ethan had already rushed to the kitchen, instantly preparing some omelet and bread.
Aaron stared at Ethan in the kitchen and sighed, "Hey, Ethan, you know that you can just ask the bot to cook for us, right?"
Ethan replied from the kitchen with his voice slightly raised, enough that it could reach Aaron's ears, "No, I'll just cook the food myself."
Aaron just said, "Okay," at his response and sighed. Yes, as a Senirps, they love to cook by themselves. For a Senirps, it would feel like taking half of their heart if they weren't allowed to make delicious meals that bring happiness to those around them and their husbands.
"You're doing a good job, Ethan. Just let the food be delicious."
Aaron teased slightly, although he knew that the meal Ethan was going to prepare would taste nice. Of course, could such a cute guy prepare something terrible? Of course, he couldn't picture it in his mind.
"Yeah, the food will be nice." Only a slight response came from Ethan. He was so focused on the meal he was making.
...
Aaron got bored waiting for Ethan to prepare the food in the kitchen.
His eyes just searched the living room, and he soon spotted a book.
"What have we got here?"
Aaron smiled as he got up to get the book. Its cover looked like a novel, not literature or realism.
Curiosity took Aaron, and he read the name.
"What?!" Aaron's heart could not believe this.
The book, the title alone, showed this was a spicy book. He could not believe the cute Ethan read this.
"Maybe it isn't that... what am I thinking? Maybe it's just the title that's too interesting."
Aaron smirked as he tried to repair the innocent impression of Ethan that was already crumbling. His fingers moved to open the pages of the book to read. This could kill his boredom. With such thoughts, he just ended up reading the book while he relaxed on the couch.
"And he touched his thigh... his... did... this... what?!"
Aaron had already read up to chapter nine of the book, and he was just getting to this part, where his words were just hiding from his lips, refusing to come out.
As if his hands were on fire, he threw the book to wherever it fell in the living room.
Aaron tapped his chest twice, taking deep breaths. He loved reading fantasy romance and romantic books, but this was his first time being introduced to this part of romance reading. And he got it from his brother, who he thought was pure and innocent.
"Is everything okay, Aaron?"
Ethan heard the commotion in the living room and came to check on Aaron. His soft face appeared more innocent as he asked Aaron with concern.
Aaron hesitated to look at Ethan, but he still looked at him twice, "Ethan... is this yours?"
He got up from the couch and took the book from where it had fallen.
Ethan: "..."
"Yes, it is my book," Ethan's face flushed as he replied.
"So you read this kind of book?"
Aaron crossed his arms over his chest as he questioned Ethan. He really wanted to know how such a cute, introverted Senirps got to know such a category of book.
Aaron said to Ethan, "Come on, say it, I won't judge you."
Ethan flushed more as Aaron urged him. His eyes blinked a bit, showing his long eyelashes. He bit his lips and responded, "I saw you, and you said you loved reading books that day at your house after you showed me your books... I went to the library to ask for the same genre that you read, and the salesperson gave me this book, and I read it."
Aaron: "..." So it was because of him that Ethan got introduced to such a book. But at this point, the disciple had learned more than the master.
Aaron was short of words; he had nothing to say to this.
Aaron took a deep breath and held Ethan by the shoulders, "Come on, tell me what you learned from the book."
He needed to know all the information so he could know if he could reverse the knowledge of the book from his innocent brother.
