Chapter 4: Breaking Out

The scene before them rendered everyone in stunned silence, all the survivors staring in shock.

"What... what is this?"

"Can mutants do something like this?"

"He's a devil! A devil!"

The closest gang member, trembling, removed the severed limb that had fallen on his face and then screamed as he fled.

However, before he could take a few steps, the gang leader shot him in the head.

"Why are you screaming? He can't possibly use that move again so quickly!" the gang leader shouted.

"We'll shoot him together and wear him down. Jero, bring the rocket launcher! Remember, we have to complete this deal; otherwise, Kingpin won't let us off!"

The gang leader's words quickly calmed the gang members. They turned their gaze towards Alex, gritted their teeth, and began shooting wildly. It seemed that the person named Kingpin was even more terrifying than Alex, who had just unleashed that horrifying blue vortex.

As bullets rained down on him, Alex didn't dodge. The energy consumption of the Limitless Technique was calculated by time, not by the intensity of the attack.

He moved forward as if he were strolling through a gentle breeze, a cruel smile on his face, charging at the gang members. Energy enhanced his body, and the various combat experiences from the Gojo Satoru template fortified Alex's mind. Facing a battlefield he'd never experienced before, he felt no nervousness or fear; instead, the curve of his smile grew more pronounced.

With a powerful push of his right foot, the energy first transformed into cursed energy, then was fine-tuned by the Six Eyes to enhance his body.

Boom!

Flesh and blood crushed the ground as he charged head-on towards dozens of gang members. Hands, feet, every joint, and every part of his body became lethal weapons under Gojo Satoru's exquisite techniques, precisely controlled by the Six Eyes.

The gang members couldn't track Alex's movements. Stray bullets that happened to hit him were blocked by the Limitless Technique.

Gang members fell like cut grass, unable to rise again. Finally, Alex stood before the gang leader, smiling, hands in his pockets, slowly walking towards him.

The gang leader's heart filled with terror as he looked at the mutant before him. This man had shattered all his perceptions of mutants. How could a mutant be this strong?

If all mutants were this powerful, why were they hunted like vermin?

"I don't believe it! Your ability must have some flaw!" the gang leader shouted at Alex, trying to drive away his fear with his voice.

At this moment, a gang underling brought out a rocket launcher and handed it to the gang leader.

Seeing the rocket launcher, the gang leader's eyes lit up, and all his previous fear dissipated.

Snatching the rocket launcher from the underling's hand, he roared ferociously at Alex, "Die!"

Amidst intense flames, the rocket propelled towards Alex and exploded violently before him.

The gang leader trembled with laughter amidst the fire's glow. "Damn mutant, die for me!"

However, as the explosion subsided, clear footsteps emerged from the smoke. A hand extended from the dust and seized the gang leader by the neck.

"Urgh..."

A deep, ocean-like azure light emanated first, followed by striking white short hair, and finally, dirty clothes and numerous wounds all over.

In the terrified gaze of the gang leader and his underlings, Alex grinned ferociously.

"Blue!"

The blue vortex gathered in his hand again. Amidst the gang leader's screams, it swallowed him whole and then continued flying forward at great speed, smashing a massive crack in the prison walls.

After completing everything, Alex ignored the people behind him. Using energy-transformed cursed power to strengthen his physique, he vanished from the spot, dashed out of the cage through the wall's breach, leaving behind only incapacitated gang members and the opened prison gate for the innocent residents to find.

After Alex left, silence blanketed the scene. Several seconds later, cheers erupted throughout the prison, and numerous innocents rushed towards the opening named "freedom!"

...

Several hours later, in an extraordinarily luxurious room in Hell's Kitchen, brilliant crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating the scene below.

Seated in the midst of it all was a figure whose face seemed shrouded in shadows.

Standing before him was a man in a peculiar tight-fitting suit, reporting.

"Target, the mission failed?"

If an ordinary person faced the man known as Kingpin, they would likely tremble uncontrollably, unable even to stand. Yet, the man continued calmly, almost like a machine.

"Yes, almost all members are dead. Most are unaccounted for, presumed dead."

This seems to be because there was a mutant in this shipment, and all of this is his doing."

The room fell silent again until a minute later when Kingpin opened his eyes and emotionlessly asked Bullseye

"Can you kill him?"

"As long as he's human, I can kill him!"

"Then I want to see his body within a week!"

"As you wish!"

...

At the same time, in a secluded corner of Hell's Kitchen, within an underground prison.

A kindly-looking man entered the basement, followed by several surviving gang members and escapees from the prison.

Upon reaching the prison, Coulson's kind demeanor faded as he looked at the twisted metal cells, shattered floors, and the massive breach blasted through the wall by an unknown attack. He turned to the others and asked,

"Do you say all of this was the work of a mutant?"

Immediately, the group nodded. A young innocent woman stepped forward, her face filled with admiration as she addressed Phil Coulson,

"Yes, he's a very handsome gentleman, with unforgettable silver hair, deep eyes like lakes, elegant manners, and incredible strength! He's nothing like those aggressive mutants; he's a true gentleman!"

Though the young woman's admiration added a touch of romanticism, she did reveal some information about the mysterious mutant.

Coulson surveyed the bizarre scene once more, particularly lingering on the huge breach in the wall and the craters on the ground. He muttered to himself,

"A deep blue vortex? An unknown powerful mutant, definitely Level 3, possibly Level 4, and... even being an Omega level isn't out of the question."

Just then, a low voice came through his earpiece,

"Agent Coulson, what's the situation?"

"Director Fury, this mutant is exceptionally strong, definitely someone who could fit into your plans."

"Good. Spare no effort in tracking him down and bringing him into our fold."
