Chapter 55: Portal Lv2

In the director's office of a certain museum, several Eternals clad in strange battle armor had gathered. After a long period apart, they reunited, but this reunion was destined to be incomplete, as their strongest warrior, Ikaris, had fallen!

The atmosphere in the room was exceptionally heavy, with each Eternal's face reflecting sorrow. Although over the ages their ideologies had diverged, and after the destruction of the Deviants, they had scattered to live the lives they wanted, they still cherished each other. They were each other's only companions.

Now, besides the few of them on Earth, there were no other Eternals left. Every companion was incredibly precious. Yet, one of them had died, and it was none other than the strongest, Ikaris, killed by the descendant of their enemies, the Deviants—the mutant known as White-Haired Mutant

This was something they could not tolerate!

Among them, Sersi, the Eternal woman with the power to transform matter, was the most heartbroken because Ikaris had been her companion for thousands of years. Now, with her beloved partner dead, even her gentle nature was consumed by endless hatred.

"Ikaris is dead, killed by an Omega Level mutant called White Hair. We must avenge him..." Sersi said angrily to the other Eternals. At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to kill White Hair and avenge Ikaris.

But a small remaining shred of rationality told her she couldn't recklessly rush for revenge. If even Ikaris had been killed by White Hair, then she was certainly no match.

Another member, a short figure resembling a girl of around ten years old with powerful illusionary abilities, Sprite, spoke passionately, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go and kill this mutant right now!"

Over the past thousands of years, Sprite had harbored a secret crush on Ikaris. Now, hearing of his death, her anger was no less than Sersi's.

But clearly, she wasn't as wise as Sersi and couldn't judge the power gap between her and Alex.

Another member, Gilgamesh, who had the most fiery temper, clenched his fists. His ability allowed him to channel cosmic energy into his hands, enhancing his punches. In direct combat, his strength was even greater than Ikaris's. He nodded in agreement with Sprite's words, "If we all attack together, no matter how powerful White Hair is, we will surely kill him!"

At this moment, Ajak, the leader of the Eternals, stopped them. As the leader of all the Eternals on Earth, she was as wise as Sersi. Upon receiving the news of Ikaris's death at the hands of White Hair, she was deeply pained, but she also realized the power of White Hair.

Even though she was the leader, Ikaris was the strongest Eternal warrior on Earth. Even if they all fought together, they could only match Ikaris's strength at best! But now, with Ikaris dead at the hands of that mutant. it meant that White Hair had the ability to kill them all.

This was unbelievable. Even though they had wiped out the Deviants, as descendants of the Deviants, there existed a mutant with such incredible power!

But no matter how unbelievable it was, with the facts laid out before them, they had to believe it.

"As for killing White Hair, we need to plan carefully."

Before the other Eternals could question her, Ajak pointed to a large screen showing the battle between Alex and Ikaris.

"You saw it too. White Hair's strength is enough to face Ikaris head-on without losing ground. None of us can do that.

If we want to kill him, there is currently only one way: Sersi must get close to White Hair and use her matter transformation ability to bypass his energy absorption and kill him.

But according to the intelligence from S.H.I.E.L.D., it seems White Hair possesses some kind of foresight ability, likely aware of all our capabilities and weaknesses, so he will definitely avoid direct contact with Sersi.

Therefore, relying solely on our current strength, it's almost impossible to control White Hair.

So, we need to wait, plan, and leverage other forces to catch him off guard and kill him!

All this information is from S.H.I.E.L.D., who wants to profit from our conflict with Alex.

Ikaris went to find White Hair due to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s deliberate guidance, so they must pay a price and cannot stay out of it!

We will plan with S.H.I.E.L.D. on how to kill White Hair. As for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s actions, we will deal with them after we have killed the mutant."

As the leader of the Eternals, Ajak's words carried significant weight, and her analysis was spot on, immediately gaining the agreement of all the Eternals.

They would temporarily collaborate with S.H.I.E.L.D. until White Hair was killed!

After killing Ikaris and obtaining the energy core, Alex quickly accelerated the accumulation of energy points, and the fusion with the template proceeded steadily.

He continued to practice several of his skills, especially the portal ability, which he had high hopes for.

The portal was originally a spell cube that required borrowing magic power from a dimensional demon to use, but Alex had his own energy, so he could open portals by himself without borrowing magic.

After finding another one of Tony's seaside villas, Alex stayed inside, constantly opening portals to increase his experience points with the portal ability.

The system's notifications kept ringing in his ear:

[Energy Points +1]

[Six Eyes Experience +1]

[Energy Absorption Experience +1]

[Portal Experience +1]

[Portal Experience +1]

[Portal Experience +1]

Compared to his other skills, which had reached at least level 3, the level 1 portal ability gained experience more easily. It wasn't long before the portal experience reached the limit of level 1. Then, with another system notification, the portal finally leveled up!

[Portal Experience +1]

[Congratulations, your skill 'Portal' has leveled up!]

[Portal Level 2 (1/300): Consumes magic power to open a portal to any place you have previously visited; energy can be used as a substitute for magic!]

A vast amount of experience flooded Alex's mind, rapidly improving his mastery of the portal ability. Within moments, he reached the point where he could use the portal without a Sling Ring.

Removing the Sling Ring from his finger and placing it into his pocket space, Alex felt immensely comfortable.

After all, carrying such a heavy and hard ring on his finger wasn't a pleasant experience.

With a slight movement of his finger in the air, a portal appeared in front of Alex, not only without the need for the Sling Ring but also much faster than when it was at level 1.

This greatly pleased Alex. The reason he reached this point so quickly was all thanks to his unparalleled talent and hard work.

Opening the system panel, Alex observed the information. Besides the portal leveling up to level 2, there was another skill that was about to level up as well!
