Chapter 15 Traditional Exorcism is Outdated!

Daenerys Solano.

When Chen Yu saw the girl, even though he already knew some information about her from Radiance, he still couldn't help but feel a bit dazzled; she was far more beautiful and charming in person than in the photos.

No wonder Police Chief Jack was so concerned about this person's affairs.

"Jack," Solano embraced Jack and then turned her beautiful eyes toward Chen Yu, her gaze filled with a hint of confusion, as she had never seen this man before.

"Solano, this is..." Jack softly introduced Chen Yu's identity to his friend. Solano nodded in acknowledgment, an exorcist?

"I'm sorry, Jack, many exorcists have already been to my house, and it's really... inconvenient for people to stay at the moment," Solano apologized to Jack, understanding her friend's concern for her, but her home was currently occupied with an exorcist team setting things up, so it wasn't a good time to invite others in.

Chen Yu was unconcerned with what Jack and Solano were discussing as he observed the beautiful woman standing before him.

The perfect hourglass figure, fair skin, but what interested Chen Yu the most was the variety of objects hanging on her.

From crosses to strange talismans to even stranger bones, one could say that on Solano's body, one could find props from most of the world's religions. The sharp-eyed Chen Yu even spotted a jade Buddha necklace hanging around Solano's neck.

Chen Yu's nose twitched; there was no special scent in the air, only a faint fragrance of perfume, the same scent of men's perfume that Jack was wearing.

"Miss Solano, may I ask you some questions?" Chen Yu asked as he looked at Solano. He needed more information to verify the intelligence. Radiance had provided many entries, but it was possible that Solano had encountered an entirely new supernatural being.

"Certainly," Solano's manner of speaking was cultured, her soft and gentle voice like a light summer rain that didn't tire the listener, but instead evoked feelings of warmth and friendliness.

"May I ask, Miss Solano, have you traveled abroad before?" Chen Yu asked. There were too many things on Solano, and he couldn't easily distinguish if there were any traces of demons or supernatural forces.

It wasn't like he could ask Solano to let him thoroughly inspect her room right now, could he? If he did that, Jack would probably lose his temper before Solano even said anything.

"Me? Our company did organize a field survey in Tokyo before," Solano hesitated briefly but then recalled the events of that trip, which made her feel a bit shy. She bit her lower lip and glanced at Jack before answering.

Tokyo? That place in the Island Country? If that was the case, there was indeed a possibility. After all, evil spirits and malevolent entities were common there, where people generally believed in supernatural beings, creating a social environment conducive to their existence.

"Did you bring anything back from there, Miss Solano?" Chen Yu looked at Solano with keen interest. If the matter involved Tokyo, it would be quite intriguing. A supernatural being capable of killing across the Pacific was a powerful ability, likely worth quite a few Energy Points.

"I brought back some local specialty products and cosmetics... Sir, are you worried there might be an issue with those items?" Solano unconsciously answered, but she quickly realized Chen Yu's line of questioning was aimed at those items.

"It's possible," Chen Yu nodded noncommittally. The Island Country has some strange objects, like dolls and whatnot, which could all become vessels for evil entities. If brought back from the Island Country, it wouldn't be surprising to be targeted.

It's like that classic movie "Ju-On"; once you step into that cursed house, you become contaminated by the curse.

"These items... I gave some things to my friends, and I only kept a very small portion for myself, but what I bought was mostly cosmetics and some snacks," Solano said, looking troubled. She had bought a lot, but most of it was cosmetics, which she had given away.

Searching wasn't going to be easy.

Chen Yu frowned slightly; this made things more difficult. Unable to pinpoint the source of the evil power, tracing it to its origin was going to be hard. However, there was a solution, albeit a bit wasteful. Chen Yu hadn't considered using that thing before.

Chen Yu glanced at the worried Chief Inspector Jack, who kept his eyes fixed on Solano.

Oh well, consider it an investment.

"Radiance, exchange for the Supernatural Tracker," Chen Yu said to Radiance in his mind. Immediately, his pocket felt heavier with a new object.

Chen Yu's mouth twitched; this device was a one-time use item worth five hundred Energy Points, a considerable loss. After all, once the detection template of Radiance was repaired, Chen Yu would be able to track the source of supernatural forces anytime on his own.

Now, in order to solve Solano's problem, Chen Yu had no choice but to exchange it.

"Miss Solano, please stand still and don't move," Chen Yu said seriously to Solano, who looked somewhat bewildered but nodded anyway. Jack looked on curiously at Chen Yu—perhaps Chen Yu had found a way?

Chen Yu took out the Supernatural Tracker from his pocket; it looked like a small radar, not very heavy. He felt a bit nostalgic holding this device.

To counteract the persecution of the Federation by supernatural forces, the Alliance Academy of Sciences had invented this gadget. Initially, it worked very well, completely eliminating the need for tedious investigations and exclusion tasks; there was no need to carry out traditional exorcist inquiries anymore.

It felt like playing a detective game.

But later, the effectiveness of this device greatly reduced, as the cunning demons and evil spirits learned to disguise themselves, making the tracker ineffective. However, in this world, it was the first time the device was being used, and Chen Yu didn't believe he would encounter one that knew how to disguise itself.

Chen Yu pressed the red button on the tracker and aimed it at Solano. A beam of red light shot out from the device, quickly scanning Solano's body. Soon after, a red dot appeared on the tracker.

At the same time, both Chen Yu and Jack saw an eerie building materializing behind Solano—a traditional Japanese house. Behind the slightly ajar door, a pair of resentful eyes were staring outside.
