"Have I been talking to myself this whole time, or were you even listening?" Lu Xingyan asked with darkened eyes.
Lu Xingze's mind was still reeling from the shock of what he had just been about to do, his ear throbbing in pain.
Lu Xingyan tugged at his ear and leaned in closer, pressing, "If you're not going to cooperate, then the vow to accompany me back to the Magic Realm won't take effect."
"Lu Xingyan, be gentle with the twisting," Lu Xingze said as he reached up to grab her wrist, his mind in disarray, yet he forced himself to deal with her: "Of course I was listening."
"Really?" Lu Xingyan's expression showed disbelief.
"Of course," Lu Xingze affirmed with a nod.
Sensing his unusual state, Lu Xingyan spoke with a faint gleam in her eyes, "Then repeat everything I just said, word for word."
Overwhelmed by the shock of his actions toward Lu Xingyan and not having heard a single word, Lu Xingze was speechless.
