"She's thirsting for revenge, Serena," Sidney said, his tone heavy with concern.
Serena shrugged casually, her expression calm. "So? Why are you telling me this? It's not like she'll listen to me if I ask her not to take revenge. She isn't exactly known for being agreeable. Besides, I understand where she's coming from. Didn't I do everything for the same reason? Just because her revenge is misplaced doesn't mean I'll blame her for wanting it."
Sidney sighed, running a hand through his hair. "But it's a vicious circle, Serena. Someone has to break it, or it'll just keep repeating."
Serena's lips curved into a faint, bitter smile as she shrugged again. "It is what it is."
