CHAPTER 3

Sophia's Pov.

I was now in the house of Anderson, the supposed secret fiancé to Melody. Damn, he is very wealthy and looks like one who gathers influence and prominence in the business world. No wonder, he was greatly respected by both Melody and Jethro, who was silent at his words.

I thought he was probably taking me to a kind of simple house, not knowing that he lived in a big mansion. However, it's not common for a young guy like him, to possess such kind of edifice to his name in the city of London, except he is the son of a wealthy man or one who is into a fraudulent business.

Therefore, as I sat on the well-decorated chair where he gladly told me to sit, he came out of his room after ten minutes, now looking fresh. As I looked at him, all I could see was a handsome and responsible dude but wait a minute, why would they drag him in such a pathetic manner, into the hotel room? I asked myself.

''Hello pretty, I'm very sorry for what happened last night, and early this morning. I can't explain how it happened but all that I can say is that I was possibly drugged. I can't still believe or imagine what happened to me. It just looked like a dream. I was only surprised and moved when I saw a pretty damsel like you on the bed'' Anderson explained.

After listening to him, I bent my head in a manner that suggested shame. I don't like what happened either but there is nothing me or him can do. I then raised my head and started to respond to him.

''I also, can't say what happened to me the previous night. All I could remember was that I was drinking and smiling with Melody and Jethro, when all of a sudden, I started to feel dizzy. I started to behave like one who drank three bottles of alcoholic wine. Although, I could remember when we were climbing each other's body, and when we were kissing'' I said to him, as I gave a narration of what I think happened.

''Really? But how exactly did you get in the room?'' Anderson asked.

He was willing to have background knowledge of what happened to us. This is because, he felt embarrassed, due to his popular and economic personality. He feared that someone was trying to blackmail him.

''Like I said, I can't explain. Okay, I could still remember when I was held by both Anderson and Melody, who brought me into the room. Yes, of course, I'm very sure of this'' I told him, as my memory began to shine.

I also noticed that his memories were gradually coming back to him, as he was seen folding his both hands thinking.

''Damn, now I could relate. I think we were set up by the both of them or by another person entirely'' He said.

''Do you think so? Although, I doubt it. I don't think they would do such a thing to us. Melody is my step-sister, and Jethro, is my fiancé'' I informed him officially.

He stirred at me for a few seconds, before speaking.

''Do you trust both of them?'' He asked.

His questions were like a sword which pierced my heart and finally brought me to the reality of what he truly meant.

Truly, if I should consider the ugly state of my relationship with both Jethro and Melody, I would never wish to trust them. What on earth was making me marry Jethro? I don't like him. I just wanted to use my coming marriage with him, as an avenue to leave my stepmother and her daughter because they were making my life a living daylight.

After searching my mind, I replied to him.

''No sir, I don't trust anyone of them''.

''Good. I don't trust your step-sister also. Since I met her, I don't think she is who she said she truly is. That your so-called step-sister is nothing but a gold-digger''.

''Why are you saying this against her? I thought she was your fiancée, whom you are preparing to marry secretly? I asked because I was confused by his words.

''Yes, she's my fiancée, but I will never marry her''.

I was shocked upon hearing this.

''Why''? I asked.

''She just set me up. She set us up. I'm not a fool. I knew she just wanted to frustrate my life, and business prowess. I rather marry you, instead of marrying her'' He said.

My eyes bubbled around its socket. He is joking, yes, he's joking. If not, why would a billionaire like him, say that he would prefer to marry me instead? Or, wait! What was he trying to insinuate?

He wanted to say something, but he stood up and left and upon coming back to the sitting room, he brought a bigger bottle of desperado wine. A few minutes later, I started seeing some of his female servants, coming along and holding different beautiful trays, containing well-prepared fried chicken, chips, and fried rice.

They kept it before us.

''Please, kindly make yourself comfortable, and make sure you feel at home'' He said, as he pointed the meal and drink on the table to me.

I felt like laughing, but I couldn't because I suddenly remembered that I would be in serious trouble for not sleeping at home. My wicked step-sister was going to screw me alive, and wouldn't wish to hear my explanations.

''I know that your body is irritating you. However, you can go to my bathroom, to have your bath anyway, before we eat. I will be waiting for you''.

''Hello, Cynthia'' He shouted out for her. Cynthia happened to be one of the female servants in his mansion.

''Yes sir'' She reported to him immediately.

''This is my fiancé, take her to my bathroom, so that she can take her bath'' He ordered.

''What? Fiancé?'' Both I and Cynthia stood and looked at him confusingly.
