Beetle Meeting

"Ughh, the two months are almost up, and we still haven't found a single trace of that goddamned planet," the leader of the three beetles grumbled. They had been stuck on this spaceship for eight months now. Even though it was relatively luxurious with a lot of space, that wasn't enough to make it feel like a vacation.

The pressure of their mission weighed heavily on them, growing with each passing day. If they failed to complete it, they were probably finished. Even if they somehow survived, any hope of future promotions would be crushed.

"I say we cut our losses now. The sooner we contact the boss, the less angry he might be," the female beetle chimed in. Initially confident, she had grown more anxious as time passed without any success.
