"Alex, now is not the time for you to act on your own," she said. "Do you know that someone wants to harm you? Do you know that Leander and I are their weapons against you? Do you know that by acting like this, you are seeking a dead end?" Claire's face turned red with anger as she shouted.

"I know," Alex said, slowly standing up, his eyes still determined and persistent. Claire was stunned. She laughed helplessly and shook her head. However, Alex suddenly hugged her tightly.

"His name is Cole, right?"

Thinking of this, Mariah's eyes flickered. She took out a lollipop that she had prepared in advance from her pocket and handed it over. "Good grandson, come to grandma."

Leander looked at the lollipop, blinked twice, and asked, "Grandpa Butler, is this candy very sweet?"
