Prologue

Dionysus the son of Eros and Rhea Nikolaou, was born into the great and prosperous Corinthian city-state. His family was not poor, yet not wealthy by the Corinthian standards. As a young boy Dionysus heard a lot about the great city-state of Athens and the amazing wonders there. By the age of 12 Dionysus had already begun training with his father, one of the great generals of Corinthia, to be a soldier, he did not want that life per say, he wanted to be a wanderer and travel around the Greek world. When his father got wind of this he disowned him and kicked him out of the house and made sure he never returned. Dionysus' mother told him before he left that he should seek his grandfather in Athens, Dionysus' grandfather was an eccentric individual, a scholar, a philosopher, not the most notorious of philosophers, but one nonetheless. By this time Dionysus had plenty of training in the hoplite combat technique and would be vital to Athens. His story begins here on his trek to Athens…
