D-DAY
Lexa just kept staring at the huge mirror in front of the table in her changing room. She smiled as she watches Nanny Dianne pack her hair in a ponytail and beautfies it with colourful hair pins.
"Uhmm..Nanny?. I hope you'll cover up for me today. You know it's my first ever date and I want it to be memorable. I want to keep remembering it with smiles. Your not mad at me right?.. I've been asking for your permission since yesterday...now don't stare at me like that" Lexa ranted pouting.
" You know your like a daughter to me right" your of age and I can't make decisions for you. If it's what you've decided in your heart to do, then my role is to just guide you and advice you. You just have to promise me that you won't take long, if something awkward happens today, I might loose my job you know quite well right?" Nanny Dianne said stroking her hair.
" I promise you Nanny, I won't be late. If I'm staying long just call me to get back home, you can even ground me. But I promise you now I'll try my best to be back early. Now will you help me pick a dress?" She said to Nanny Dianne.
After several minutes of choosing and rejecting different dresses, she finally settled for a simple long purple flowering gown which suits her skin, customized accessories, a pair of black heels and a customized channel purple bag.
Jace on the others hand was wearing a white shirt over a pair of black chinux trousers and black shoes. He had used his little allowance to purchase this outfit from a local store so he could impress Lexa.
He already made arrangements with a friend of his who is a car owner to pick them up and take them to the location of the date.
They laughed and talked over a bottle of Italian wine and pastries, taking pictures, sharing stories about their childhoods, dreams and the things that makes them happy.
The simplicity of the date makes it special for Lexa, who is used to lavish and impersonal event.
After a few hours, their first date officially becomes a success and Lexa got back home early as promised.
As the days went by, they continue their regular late night walks under the stars, hold hands, sharing more about their lives, and growing closer with each passing day. These walks become a cherished routine for both of them.
Soon, their secret dates evolve into small adventures. They visit an art gallery to mark their one month anniversary, where Lexa shows Jace her favorite piece, go on a picnic by the lake and attend a small town fair while her parents where out of town for business. Each outing brings them closer, allowing them to experience joy and normalcy away from their complicated lives. Their affection for each other deepens daily. Lexa finds solace and happiness in Jace's company, feeling more alive and appreciated than she ever has before. Jace in turn is inspired by Lexa's creativity and spirit, which drives him to work even harder towards his goals.
During one of their meetings, Lexa expresses her fears about their future, Jace reassures her, promising to always be there for her and fight for their love no matter the circumstance. Their whispered confessions strength their bond and commitment to each other.
Despite the joy of being together, the risks of their secret relationship weighs heavily on them. They are constantly looking over their shoulders, worried about being discovered. Lexa in particular is anxious about tmher parents finding out and the repercussions that would follow
One cool evening, the stars and moon where already in their places as Jace and Lexa continue their normal strolling routine. They continued walking and playfully wishing on shooting stars....
"Jeez!" Lexa whispered turning her back and hiding behind a car almost immediately after sighting Mrs Eleiza's assistant.
Mrs Eleiza's assistant just happened to close from work and was on her way home when Lexa sighted here. Lexa didn't like her because of her blabbering lips and meddling into other people's businesses. She would definitely kiss and tell if she is to catch even a glimpse of Lexa there.
The Eleizas are good family friends to her parents and also one of their too partners. Haven invited Lexa over a couple of times for a sleepover at their house, since they've got kids her age but each time she keeps declining using school projects and a busy schedule as an excuse. If the assistant had seen her there, Mrs Eleiza would have been informed who will inturn tell her husband that Lexa has been avoiding their family. And surely, Mr Eleiza will bring it up as a topic to the Raynolds that their daughter has been avoiding them and also seeing her hanging around a commoner.
