CHAPTER 9.. JACE'S DETERMINATION.

A Month Later...

1 month has passed since Jace heard about Lexa's engagement to Cameron Edwardo, as it was allover the news and internet as it was the talk of the town. The news pricks him hard, but instead of dispair he channels his emotions into working even harder. He vows to become very successful to prove himself worthy of Lexa's love to her family no matter what.

After much considerations, Jace decides to take a bold step towards improving his life. He applies for a loan, using his savings and monthly income as collateral. Despite the risks, he is determined to make something meaningful out of his life, driven by the memory of Lexa, the promises they made and the future they once dreamed of together. He used the money from the loan to start up a business as a little side hustle where he bought and sold different household items.

He took or bought sofas, TV's, glass/reading tables, utensils, dinning sets and all house hold materials from people who either traded them for money to solve a financial crisis, or took from people and families who no longer had use for them. With time, his little side hustle began to blossom and fetch him lots of income that he repaid his loan debts in less than no time.

His business continued to strive and excel, that with time he resigned from all his odd jobs to focus entirely on his business. Reconnecting back with his parents and younger brother, Jace thrives to ensure his family lives the good life they never got to experience, enrolling his younger brother In a proper college that he was never opportuned to go and providing them with everything they need.

Due to Jace's simple nature and integrity, he began to excel and flourish speedily in his business, as his customers began to increase and steadily introduce him to different buyers who also come to purchase goods from him. His honesty continues to attract lots of consumers for him from different parts of the state and even outside as he began importing his goods gradually to people outside the state.

Over time, Jace picked interest in cars and began to build up a business plan to venture into cars as he immerses himself completely with the daily grind of setting up his business to establish a car company as time goes on.

After finalizing a contract deal of suppling Household items to an upcoming dealership, Jace got paid a huge amount of money which he used to start up his dream company. Relocating to a different state, he made up his mind to start all over and dedicate himself fully to growing his company until it becomes very successful and his dreams become a reality.

Gradually and steadfastly, Jace set up a car dealership where he started off with a small amount of used (second-hand) cars which he bought and sold at a cheaper rate. Soon, most of his friends and former co-workers saw and bought into his vision and resigned to relocate and work with him.

____________6 MONTHS LATER__________

In a space of 6 months, Jace has upgrade from buying and selling of used cars, to to buying a mnd selling imported cars which he bought directly from their dealers in other countries. He progressed to having other car companies and dealership buying into his idea and striking multi-million dollar deals with him, which made him improve so well, as his name spread like wild fire. He hires more employees, sets up inventory and began using different media and other ways to advertise his company. His days are long and exhausting, but the progress he makes continues to brings him a sense of accomplishment. Soon, Jace enrolls himself in business-management and marketing classes in a new school for working class. His hunger for knowledge and self-improvement is relentless and he is driven by the memory of Lexa's encouragement and belief in his potential.

His friends and employees noticing his determination rally around him, they admire his work ethics and support him in his endeavors, providing encouragement and assistance when needed. This support system helps Jace stay focused and motivated. His company starts to gain traffic and recognition, attracting a steady stream of customers. Jace's reputation for honesty, integrity, hardwork and quality services spreads, and his company becomes a staple in the state and beyond, as each small success brings him closer to his goal.

After reuniting with his long time childhood friend who now works for a major co-operation, his friend impressed by Jace's progress and determination offers to introduce him to different influential business men who could help him expand his business and attract lots of deals and contract. Jace continues to find solace in the pictures he took with Lexa which are still saved on his device, the promises they made to each other and the deep love and affection they shared even for a short moment. Putting a smile on his face and drawing encouragement and hope from them, he continues to raise his hope and find strength reminding himself of the love they shared as each day passed by.

As he alights from his Ford Mustang one early Friday morning, he stands outside his company, staring at the billboard with his company name and logo written on it, he smiles with pride and contentment. He reflects on how far he has come and feels a renewed sense of purpose. Going into his office, as his employees give way, addressing him as "Sir", he feels a great sense of fulfilment and accomplishment as he finalizes the paper work of his new contract. His hard work has eventually started paying off. His determination is fueled by the thought and dreams of building a better future for himself, his family and hopefully for Lexa. He knows there is still a long way to go, but he is more determined than ever to succeed and reunite with Lexa and his family again.
