CHAPTER 21..WHAT MY MOTHER TOLD ME 1..

Cameron and Lexa have just 3 weeks left before going on their Tokyo trip. Their papers were ready, visa and flight has been already booked. Cameron couldn't wait for the the three weeks to elapse so he could finally have his privacy and peace of mind that Lexa won't be running off to anywhere anymore. Relocating her permanently without her consent is the perfect thing to do right now, because if Lexa is to find out about his relocation plans, she will do everything not to go but he has to make sure nothing like that happens again. He couldn't wait till he has Lexa under his feet and makes her do as he wants, he couldn't wait till she becomes obedient to all his orders and dances to his tunes.

Lexa on the other hand, cringes whenever she remembers their trip is in three weeks. She had already sent pictures and videos of her scars and the bruises Cameron has inflicted on her to Jace. She could only pray and hope Cameron doesn't use his wealth and connections to free himself away from his punishment, as she hopes the court is just and lenient enough to grant her justice.

Jace and his people already have their plans well sorted out. He had information that Lexa and Cameron will leave in 3 weeks time. He decided to lay low and not tell Lexa of his plans to avoid Cameron from suspecting her I'd finding out, the less she knows, the better for her so he doesn't put her in a situation to get hurt again.

As the days went faster, Lexa and Cameron havd done a lot of shopping for their trip, jewelries, accessories and dresses as they might stay a month or two.

Lexa had earlier called her mom, explaining to her how scared she is travelling alone with Cameron hoping for her mother to understand her plight. However, Lady Hazel scolded her daughter for not wanting to be a good wife to her husband, tagging her as 'irresponsible'.

"You must learn to endure. Endurance, perseverance, tolerance, patience, loyalty and love are the key to a healthy successful marriage" Lady Hazel said.

"I have learnt to be patient, tolerant and to endure whatsoever to keep my marriage standing. Do you know what I have to endure and sacrifice in my marriage? You are aware of how your father is. Do you think we don't have our marital issues from time to time?. Listen to me clearly my princess, It is only a woman who has the ability to keep her marriage. Only a woman has the capacity to make her home the way she wants it, sweet or sour, peaceful or violet, interesting or boring, only a woman can do that. Men will always be men my darling, only you have the power to make your home the way you want it, not Cameron, not me, not your dad, not the Edwardos but You my child. I have to tell you all this, so you don't suffer and regret later in, I had to learn the hard way and that is why I'm telling you this, so you don't repeat my mistakes." Lady Hazel said gently to Lexa.

Pondering over what her mom had said, everything she said made complete sense but not in this case, she doesn't understand what is going on.

".....No, no ,no, I can't continue with this. My dad might be hot-headed, annoying and demanding, but he is not abusive, he is not a woman beater, he doesn't treat my mom half the way Cameron treats me, Cameron is a beast, a monster, he doesn't deserve to live among humans, he is dangerous. I...I can't do this, I can't endure all this, it's an abuse, what if he kills me on a fateful day?. No! He must go to jury and face the consequences of his actions while I get my freedom.

I will prove mother wrong, women also deserve to be loved, cared fro and taken care of. I must prove to her that you can actually make your home perfect with the right partner, and not all men are beasts like Cameron. I'll show her that not all men are hot headed, demanding, women beaters, rude, arrogant, boastful, proud and abusive. Some homes can be like fairytales just with a sweet and not abusive partner. I will prove that to mother" Lexa spoke as she stared at the large mirror in front of her holding herself from dropping any tear.

Lexa made up her mind to live her beast life with her perfect partner. Jace never treated her badly when they were together, he might have been poor then but he was considerate, with a very large cheerful heart, always willing to lend a helping hand, always willing to share in your problems and provide answers, be there for you, give the best advice, very loving and caring. She wasn't going to end up like any house wife that endures bullshit from her abusive husband because she wants to portray a beautiful marriage to the world while it is a different story inside her home, No!, Not in this time and age. She will grow old with her perfect partner, in a very happy and loving home where they would raise their lovely kids and where she will be free to do her art designs and show case her beautiful talent to the world. She wasn't going to stick to any negative tradition or culture where she has to die in complete silent just for her home to thrive, that itself is slavery to women and she is completely against it. Women deserve to be happy, they deserve to work and do what they love, they deserve to get married to whom their heart choses not dependent on financial or social status, they deserve to love and be loved in return. And that is what she is going to protray to the world.
