CHAPTER 28...WHAT MY MOTHER TOLD ME 2..

"Are you Cameron Edwardo?, The son of Don Edwardo?" The immigration officer asked with suspicion written all over his face.

"Yes I am, is there a problem?" Cameron asked arrogantly.

"Ahh...no sir, just a minute please." The immigration officer said as he excused himself to make a phone call.

"You are under arrest Me Edwardo." An average man's voice came from behind Cameron. He was dressed in a camouflage uniform, indicating he was a police officer. He held Cameron's hand, about to handcuff him as 3 other police men strolled behind him looking very stern and strict.

"What do you mean!, Do you know who's son I am?, How dare you talk to me in such a way, do you want to tarnish my family's name, how dare you walk up to me and say I'm under arrest!" Cameron yelled as he struggled with the officers.

"Mr Edwardo, you have been charged of domestic abuse, and a case has been filed against you, so we can't let yiu leave the country. I'll advice that you remain calm and follow us to the station without a fuss or creating a scene as it might be used against you. We just want to get your statement. We have contacted your family, they might be at the station already. So please, can we leave?" The police man said as he held Cameron and walked along with him.

Cameron had decided to take Alex's advice and leave the country. The plan was for him to get to Tokyo first then inform his parents and inlaws about the return of Jace and have them file a case against him for abducting Lexa and keeping her hostage. Little did he know that Jace and Lexa were already 2 steps ahead of him. Lexa called her mom, informing her about how her trip to Tokyo with Cameron was cancelled by her ex Jace, and how the police were already searching for Cameron due to the case filed against him. She told her mom everything, and how she suffered and was starved for days by Cameron, how he insults her, abuses her and locks her up. Shockingly, Lady Hazel didn't believe a word her daughter said as she blamed her for not trying to make her marriage work but instead she connived to run away with her ex.

"You should be ashamed of yourself!" Lady Hazel spat on the phone.

"How can a married woman from a reputable home run away from her marital home and abandon her trip with her husband just to escape with her ex boyfriend!?. You want to tarnish this image and reputation your father and I have worked our ass out to build is that it? Just because your not responsible and sensible enough to build your home and marriage!. How shameless and ungrateful can you be Lexa!. You want to ruin this family that has given you life and raised you? You really want to damage your father's business right?, and ruin the image of the Edwardos!. How can you be so stupid!?. Now, you just wait until your dad hears about this. I give you just 24 hours Lexa!, Just 24 hours to go back to your husband and apologize to him and his family for this damage you have caused, and withdraw that stupid court case. Else, you cease to be my child!. Count yourself as motherless while I'll count myself as childless, because I'll rather be childless than have a shameless, ungrateful child like you! Don't you dare bring shame to the womb that carried you!." Lady Hazel fired at Lexa as she dropped the call.

Hot tears rolled away freely from Lexa's eyes as her phone slipped away from her shaky hands to the ground. Reminiscing and ponding over every word her mom said to her as they kept ringing in her ears, screaming and crying loudly as her heart squeezed and her bead ached, her heart pounding loudly and faster as her eyes went blurr due to the tears.

How can her mom, her own mother day that to her, doesn't she carw about her happiness, hasn't she noticed how arrogant Cameron is, how can she tag her shameless when all she wants is peace and happiness. Lexa thought as she continued to cry out loudly...

Loud crys and screaming could be heard from Lexa's apartment as Jace stepped down from his car, as he sensed tension everywhere. Screams and wailing could be heard from outside Lexa's apartment as Jace rushed inside with his heart in his hand Hoping nothing bad has happened to Lexa.
