CHAPTER 37..

The Judge called on Lexa's attorney to present his witnesses. Mr Kennedy, Jace's chief ally walked into the witness box with authority.

"Today , is more like a dream come true to me, my partners and my boss". He started. He explained how he disguised himself as one of Cameron's guards to monitor Lexa. He talked about how he experienced Lexa been tortured, assaulted, insulted, mocked, starved and maltreated by her own husband, how they planned her escape twice before it was actually successful. He concluded his speech by thanking Jace for the opportunity to work with him to save Lexa as his own way of serving humanity.

"Mr Kennedy, you mentioned that you planned Mrs Lexa's escape twice, will you please explain to the court why you helped or planned the escape of a married woman to leave her husband's house?" Cameron's attorney asked.

"Attorney, just one question. If it were your sister or daughter that has been tortured, starved and beaten up in the name of marriage, will you let her suffer in the hands of another man just because he is wealthy and influencial?, Or will you risk your life to save her?". Mr Kennedy asked.

The hall immediately went silent as the confusion on everyone's faces were speaking for them. Cameron's lawyer stared in awe and great confusion, he opened his mouth to speak but words fail to come out as he continued to stare at Mr Kennedy in total confusion and astonishment.

"This was exactly what I wanted to know attorney. Your silence says it all and that exactly is the answer to your question. Ma'am Lexa has been nothing but good and mind to me even when she was still a prisoner in her own home. I did for ma'am Lexa what I will do if my child or sister happens to be in that same state, and I know you will do the same my Lord. Thank you." He stepped down with a smile of fulfilment as everyone applauded him. The judge was impressed that he promised to have a handshake with Mr Kennedy after the hearing.

Jace was already in cloud 9 as he got up and hugged Mr Kennedy while appreciating him for his efforts and kind words.

The second witness was called upon, he spoke with so much boldness and courage, he explained how Cameron abused Lexa and locked her up when her found out about the first escape plan, how Cameron takes advantage of every given opportunity to abuse and humiliate Lexa even before the staffs.

The third witness came up, and just like the other two, he spoke with courage about the evil things and I'll treatment Lexa received, living together with Cameron.

He spoke as he presented solid evidences which the attorney handed over to the Judge to support his motion. He spoke about how Cameron once left Lexa stranded at a restaurant and also how Cameron abducted the family of one of their allies and also threatened him, just so he could get his way.

The hall kept growing rowdy as people "ahh-ed" and "ohh-ed" to how someone could treat his wife in such manner.

Mrs Edwardo stared in shame and embarrassment as she couldn't help but believe what the witnesses kept saying. It can't be a lie, neither are their speeches forged. Knowing the kind of child she gave birth to, someone who took completely after his father, a man that craved respect, money, fame and wanted it by all means. She knew how cold hearted Cameron can be, and how far he is willing to fk to achieve whatever it is he desires. She stared at Cameron's back , this wasn't her little boy who always shared his chocolates with his friends at preschool. Cameron and his dad won't escape this wroth, that she knew.

The last witness stepped down from the box as the hall went grave-silent again, as people were either shaking their heads in pity or folding their arms in disbelief.

"I believe there are no more witnesses Attorney Robinson.." The judge said as he faced the attorney.

"Wait!" A feminine voice came from behind...
