Ellena's POV
My rapid heartbeat made me uneasy, and without realizing it, I pushed Mr. August away. I think my action was a bit harsh, but he just stood there, silent, without saying anything. How embarrassed I feel right now; he didn't even show an expression that could give me an answer.
Mr. August turned and got into the car. I felt guilty about what I had done, especially since he looked surprised by my sudden behavior. I quickly followed him and got into the car, sitting beside him without saying a word, though he didn't seem to mind.
My heart couldn't settle down, especially since Mr. August hadn't moved since the car started driving. The journey felt slightly longer because of the awkward atmosphere I had created. Even trying to start a conversation felt difficult as my lips seemed stiff and wouldn't open.
