Police Station

Lucas's eyes opened, and he found himself in a police station. More precisely, in a jail cell—behind bars. The charges against him were not only theft but also assaulting Robby at the office.

It seemed that even in jail, Lucas was still receiving mistreatment. This was evident from the glares of several police officers who were present. The ill treatment was not only visible in their body language but also in their words.

"How disgraceful! A vagrant like him can become a son-in-law in the Hamilton family. Shouldn't someone like me have the same chance?" The officer's remark was accompanied by his own laughter.

The comment caught Lucas's attention and directed a sharp gaze at the officer. Although he was used to it, Lucas still couldn't tolerate such insults.

Feeling the unpleasant stare, the officer slammed the metal door loudly, causing an annoying noise.
