A car had just stopped in the garage of the house. Daniel, feeling too lazy to enter, forced himself to go inside anyway, since the house was his place to return to. His tired face turned to frustration when he saw the woman he despised standing at the entrance to greet him.
*Why is she here?* Daniel thought with a glare full of hatred.
Rachel grabbed Daniel's arm and rested her head on his shoulder. He almost pulled away from her touch, but a familiar voice froze him.
"Husbands and wives should be romantic, you two make such a perfect couple. I'm so happy to see you doing well together," said Daniel's mother, Zaima, who had suddenly come to visit.
Zaima, unaware of the problems in her son's life, saw only the perfect marriage between the two. This ignorance became Rachel's weapon to manipulate the situation.
"When did you arrive, Mom?" Daniel asked, slowly pulling away from Rachel's grip.
