'This is bad....This is really bad,' Myne thought.
Once the programming that made her loyal to Reva kicked in, there was something else dormant within her that also activated at the exact same time. It made her realize something that she only now, in her current state of being, was properly aware of at the moment. Something altered the status quo that the village had been in ever since everyone had been roboticized into automaton for the first time.
"Got to go now," Myne said as she bolted out of the room.
"What was her problem?" Page asked
"I would not know, though. That was a unique reaction to being robiticized," Carter replied.
'This bad...This is so bad'
These were the only thoughts that were mainly running through Myne's head as she raced through the village. She did not question how and/or why she knew where to run, only that she had to run there in the first place. As she had to report that herself and them, hopefully, things would just work themselves out afterwards as a result of doing so.
'They are going to work out as I am going to be just fine,' Myne thought.
Trying to rationalize her thoughts on the subject while also thinking of a way to explain herself and the subject that got her panicking so much. Though as she was running through the village no one batted and eye at her at all not even for a second did they do so. Though she was probably one of the taller women in the village itself, and there had not been anyone new in the village since Cami and Reva arrived to reside there from then onwards. They just saw Myne as one of them and kept doing what they always did, not getting in her way or bothering her as she ran through the village towards her destination.
That being in the end, where Reva lived.
There she ran into Cami, who was outside and looking at her curiously as she arrived in front of her.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Cami asked.
"Huh!? You should know who I am already. Giving me my role that I am supposed to play," Myne said.
Her programming has made so that the dormant thing that activates within her. Once it did that, that thing altered her memories so that she always thought it had been activated and thus was not questioning anything she did anymore. Despite this being the first time she and Cami have even met, she assumed they already knew each other because of it.
"Yeah, I am pretty sure that I would have recognized you already if we truly knew each other," Cami told her.
"You are the subordinate of the Southern Guardian," Myne stated
"That common and obvious knowledge that everyone knows as.....*then something dormant within Cami awakens* why are you here now?" Cami said
Her own programming alters itself in real time so that she goes from not recognizing and knowing who Myne is to automatically knowing who she is. Yet there is one thing that remains the same, though. Cami might know who the current Myne is, but the question shifts now to why she is here instead.
"This is urgent as I must take you to see our lord right away," Cami told her.
"Of course, as that's what I came here for after all," Myne replied
Meanwhile...
Reva was just minding his own business, doing nothing as this was the life for him. To be able to do nothing as before, he was stuck in that cycle where he was glad for that, as there was nothing in his life that would disturb him from this life. Things were not happening as he had originally planned them to, but they were still working out in his favor just fine. As the Guardian that time itself had forgotten about suiting him, just him as there. This worked with his plan, just as being forgotten like this meant he did not have to worry about ruling over the entirety of the domain that originally belonged to the Southern Guardian. Even as the one seen as the weakest of the four, at the end of the day, the Southern Guardian was still a Guardian after all. If things went on without a hitch, or that one thing that caused both himself and Cami to be trapped in an offline state for centuries before finally being given the chance to come back online. Then he would have had to deal with ruling over his domain in its original size and with all the unwanted things he wanted to avoid personally, but was willing to put up with if it meant that he would be left alone. It was the major reason that he only had Cami as his party member back then. As the fate of the hero who defeats the previous Guardian is to become the next one. With the fate of that hero's party members being to become their subordinate. Reva had managed to luck out with Cami; thus, he only had one subordinate as Southern Guardian. However there were three others that depsite not being a part of the hero's party when they were still a hero themselves in the previous cycle. They were a part of the next cycle that, when caught, would be taken to be roboticized, and upon doing so, they would become one of that guardian's main underlings that worked directly under the Guardian from then onward. Reva was sure that would never happen, as from what he had heard, the human domain was the human equivalent of the Southern Guardian. It had collapsed sometime after the world of this current cycle, that had no Mecha Lord, had forgotten he existed. Thus, those three mostly no longer exist, and even if they did, the chances that they would encounter someone who was a part of this village, which served as his main and only stronghold, were slim. That being within the domain that he did have to worry about because of his passive ability was very little. After all, the only ones that even left the village anymore were Page and Carter after all, and those two were loyal to him for their own personal reasons.
'Life is good,' Reva thought to himself.
Completely unaware of the bombshell that was about to be dropped in his lap in just a few moments
