A desperate search

(Amelia)

I clutched the artifact tightly, my breath coming in short, panicked bursts. Damien was gone, and the weight of the situation pressed down on me like a vise. The message left behind by the demon echoed in my mind: Find him before it's too late.

I couldn't let fear paralyze me, not when Damien's life was probably in danger. I opened the book with trembling hands, flipping through the pages as quickly as I could. There had to be something, anything, that could help me find him.

The pages seemed to blur together in my frantic state until I found a spell that might work. It was a locator spell, one that could track a person through the magical energy that bound them. It was complex, requiring precise incantations and concentration, but it was my best shot.

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. I couldn't afford any mistakes. Kneeling on the cold stone floor, I spread out the spell book and began to gather the necessary components.
