On the day of the welcoming party, the whole castle was submerged in an ocean of flowers. Garland strung around columns, beautiful bouquets hanging from delicately constructed decorations. 


I found Luna Diana waiting for me by my door before breakfast and she proudly took me on a tour of the castle, supervising the last-minute decorations going up and ensuring every petal and leaf was perfect. I accompanied her, as she insisted on telling me every little flower and its meaning in the old language.


Each doorway was lined with an arch of safflowers and sunflowers, sweet peas, wisteria, and yellow lilies.
