"Daddy has secrets too?" her eyes rounded, amused, then replied, "Yes!" she nodded with a wide grin.
"Are you sure?" Greg arched an eyebrow.
"Of course! You can ask Aunt Grace. I didn't tell her mommy's secrets."
Greg smiled, "Really? Your mommy has many secrets?"
The child nodded vigorously, her curly hair bouncing up and down.
"What is Mommy's secret?" he asked, his voice low and curious, just to test her.
However, Ruby looked at him strangely and lowered her head, her eyes dull.
"I like you a lot, Daddy, but I cannot betray my Mommy, nor will I break your trust."
Greg pulled her closer, his arms enveloping her in a warm hug, and kissed her on the head, his lips leaving a gentle imprint. "This is why I call you Twinkle. You blind my heart with love."
Hearing that, the child's mood soared and she threw her weight on him, beaming. And asked curiously, "Will it still work if it's blind?"
